Great Book on an Amazing Park
This was a very good and informative book especially after visiting Joshua Tree National Park. The Park is amazing. This bok gave us insight into some of the location s that we visited in the Park.

This Book Tells About The History Of Joshua Tree National Monument And ParkThis book tells about the history of Joshua Tree. Here is some of the information that this book mentions. Two desert ecosystems, the Mojave Desert and the Colorado Desert, meet at Joshua Tree National Park. The park is visited by 1.6 million people annually. On August 10, 1936, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed a proclamation designating the 825,340 acres as Joshua Tree National Monument. Joshua Tree was designated as a National Park in 1994. The name Serrano comes from the Spanish word for mountaineer. In the 1930’s decade, Minerva Hoyt was seeking support for a National Park in the desert mountains Northeast of Palm Springs. Some of the pictures in this book include pictures of the following: CA Governor James Rolph, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Mexican President Pascual Ortiz Rubio.
