Works as expected
I like this kit as it was inexpensive and comes with everything you need and more. I am currently rescreening my pool enclosure. I have completed over half and these tools have worked flawlessly. The roller tool itself works great. Just be careful and don't press to hard or it will cut your screen, as any roller will. It will take light to firm pressure, but not super hard. The pick helps to remove the old spline and screen from the tracks. it works very well and has helped up without bending or the tip breaking. The brush is nice so if you are rescreening, you can easily clean/remove any small pieces of the old screen, dirt, leaves or other small debris. The clips are the MVPs of rescreening. Sometimes they can be a little hard to squeeze, but they will hold the screen securely. I couldn't imagine doing this task without them. Some tricks I've learned as I've already rescreened about 250 sq/ft of my enclosure. When removing flat spline (might work for round too) once you get one end pulled out enough to get a good grip on it. Pull parallel with the track and away. This causes it slide in the track and will easily pull out of the track. When I pulled straight up it would constantly break or was harder in comparison to pulling parallel. Rescreening squares and rectangles are pretty simple and you can easily screen it wrinkle free and tight. If you are doing a panel that is a triangle, start with the angled side (non-square corners) first. It will be easier to get it tight. Save the two sides that form a right angle for last. When I did it this way I got it first time every time. When I didn't I would always have to pull spline out to pull the screen tight as wrinkles would form.

Helpful kit and easy to use - Even for a novice DIYer
Kit works well and is easy to use. I opted for the kit without the clips after seeing all the negative reviews on the clips. If you have any small office binder clips hanging around, they can work in a pinch to keep the screen in place as you work. The hook was helpful to dig out the old spline and loosen the old screen since they can dry out and stick to the frame. Saw a review about the roller being too sharp and tearing screen, I didn't have that issue. Just remember one side of the roller is to prep the screen by imprinting a groove and the other is to pinch down the spline into the groove. Likely enough spline for two windows so will keep and use again, but hopefully not anytime soon!

Great tools. Aim for a slightly larger spline than the groove for a secure fit.
The tools work great... if you have the correct size spline. The spline that came with this kit is too small for our pool cage. It is the size of the groove, meaning it would slide right back out. Might be my fault because it should have been obvious to me that I need a slightly larger one to ensure a secure fit and prevent the screen from coming loose.

Professional-Looking Results, Even for a Beginner
I’m not much of a handy person, but this screen repair kit made fixing my screened-in porch panel surprisingly easy. With the help of a YouTube video, I was able to do a job that looks professional. The steel roller feels sturdy and rolls smoothly, making it simple to press the spline into place. The spline itself held the screen tight and secure, and everything in the kit is straightforward to use. I was honestly expecting a struggle, but it went faster and cleaner than I thought possible. Overall, this kit is great for anyone who needs to repair a screen but isn’t a DIY expert. It gave me professional-looking results without any headaches, and I’d definitely recommend it. Solid A grade performance.

MishMash of Mixed Size Tools
I bought this screen repair Tool & Spline kit based on the size of the included roll of spline which matched the existing spline in my screen frames at .137” diameter. When the kit arrived, it had the correct spline as described, but the grooved roller is much wider than that, a full .172”, obviously meant for fixing screens with a larger diameter spline and correspondingly wider spline groove. So, it is much too big to push the included spline into the smaller screen frame grooves. This roller tool is meant for screen frames that take a .200” or .250” spline, not the included .137” spline, so it was useless for me. Also, the included clips have angles ends that likewise are meant for the larger spline grooves and did not fit into the smaller grooves in my frames. I’ll admit the hook was handy, but I had to buy a different tool to roll the spline that comes in this kit into the frames. Lastly, although the rollers do have bearings in the middle, the “axles” for those bearings do not fit the inner diameter of the bearings very well, so the rollers flop around anyway, which is the exact thing the bearings are supposed to prevent.

Just what I needed.
I've replaced screens without the right tools before and it was a pain for sure. This gives you exactly the right tools. The little hook tool alone makes things so much simpler and the two sided roller just let's you snap that spine right into place. Wish I'd had one of these sooner.

Great repair kit
This set came in really handy when I had to replace one of the panels in my screened porch. It came with the essentials so all I had to buy was the screen. The clips made is so much easier too. Great quality of everything in the pack and a really great price.

the spline was a little thin for my window frames, but the roller made the job much easier than the cheap one I was using before, the pick tool proved useful too.

This ended up making a bigger mess of my screen than just doing it by hand. The edges of the wheel roller are so sharp that they cut the inside edge of the screen and now it’s unrepairable without completely replacing the screen. The only part that I found the slights bit useful was the hook tool to pull out the old spline. The clips are not the right size and they only supply a single size that obviously isn’t going to work for every screen door. Not super impressed.

The roller was built nice, but it was too sharp and was cutting my screen while I was securing the rubber strip in the slot.
