The Horner was recommended as an economical, versatile and comparatively EASY way to start. Arrived quickly and is surprisingly well made and very compact in it's plastic case. It easily fits into a jacket pocket. With many ebooks available for beginners it was easy to get started, and to progress to simple tunes. The ebook enabled you to read the score on an iPad and listen to how the tune should sound.
