DESTEK Cooling Face Pad for Meta Quest 3, Not for 3S, Stops Overheating

I did a great deal of researching before I chose to purchase this interface. I am very happy I decided to chance it. It is so much more comfortable and easier on the face when using my quest 3 for longer periods. It fits perfectly into the unit and does a great job omitting any light that might leak into it. It does keep my face cooler, and it does state in the description that it is best functional for 20min at a time in regards to its cooling feature. Which is still welcome and I honestly have had no problems getting too hot under it. On the other hand, if it does get too hot, it clearly tells me to take a break for a bit. Just my thoughts personally, as it is easy to get carried away and lose track of time...lol. Cleaning is effortless as well. I appreciate the extra velcro gel pad included. Definitely worth buying!

This face cover is such a relieving upgrade from the stock cover on the Quest 3. It’s light and doesn’t add any noticeable weight to the headset, the nose-flaps get rid of all incoming light, and it’s overall a pretty comfortable face cover. For the sake of simplicity, here’s some Pros and Cons from my experience so far: —— PROS —— • Easy installation! It clicks in and out just like the original face cover, if not even better. • It’s much more comfortable than the stock covers. • The material doesn’t absorb sweat like a lot of foam covers do, and it’s really easy to clean if you are someone who sweats a lot. • It’s durable. The material hasn’t chipped or faded at all since I got it months ago. • Like I said earlier, the blackout nose-flaps are *perfect*. They completely block out light, and are super comfortable as well. • It’s light, but still good quality, so it doesn’t add any weight or bulk to your headset. —— CONS —— • While it is comfortable, I think the thinness of the cover material leads me to getting a bit of a headache after a few hours. I also have other heavy attachments on my headset, so take this with a grain of salt. • The “cooling material” is either untrue or just unnoticeable. This is fine with me, since I didn’t buy it for the sake of cooling my face down, but do keep in mind that it will be just as hot as any other product. Overall, I’d definitely recommend getting this for your headset. It adds a lot of immersion and comfort to the VR experience.

Better than the default padding by far, but mine at least has some uncomfortable edges where the Velcro holds the nose piece that can scrap me in rare situations. Still has some pressure points but is so much better than the one the Quest 3 comes with, and for the price I can't complain. The biggest problem is still due to the front load of the weight of the headset, and with a good strap replacement this pressure issue goes away. The material is great for long wear, sweat doesn't cause a problem with it's ability to keep the interface in place, and it doesn't absorb any of the sweat and wipes clean easily. No signs of wear yet. Fits the Quest 3 very well.

The insert was easy to install and holds securely on each tab of the metaquest unit. The gel padding is amazing! With a gentle motion, it removes with a velcro-like attachment from the insert/main unit and can be put in the fridge/freezer. You also get an extra gel mask. I noticed it even stays cool on your face without cooling the removed padding prior to reattaching it. It seems to pull heat away from your face as well. The added vents prevent any fog during heavily physical apps/games. Oh, and wiping the padding clean is super easy and definitely stays fresher than a foam padding which would act more like a sponge absorbing sweat and whatever you use to spot clean. Overall, the price is reasonable and the quality is fantastic! The stitching, molding, material, ans even packaging is perfect! Very high end for an affordable price. I can tell this will last.

The official silicone facial interface is outrageously priced at 40 bucks from Meta. And while it’s easy to clean, it’s no more comfortable to wear compared to the default fabric one for people who sweats a lot. This facial interface is cool to the touch, and I feel the air vents on both top and bottom help prevent fogging too. It comes with two cooling gels so that I can quickly swap between them to stay cool. The nose flaps are good at blocking out environment lights, which provides a more immersive VR experience. So far it’s a great improvement over the stock Quest 3 experience.

The fit for this is perfect, the cooling works really well so I dont have to worry about sweat when im playing beat saver. The build quality is solid and im not worried if itll break anytime soon. The Value for money is great as I find the price worth it for better comfort and better cooling. Also this works perfectly with the Bobo VR S3 Pro. Also this doesn't affect your tracking accuracy at all either! Lastly it does a great job not letting and light in aswell. Great product and i definitely recommend me it.

Great facial interface! The material feels really nice and cool on the face, and it’s very comfortable to wear. Installation was quick and easy, no problems at all. The whole kit is excellent and feels high quality. Very happy with the purchase. Thank you!

Feels great on the face and very comfortable and has this chilly feeling on the face which is amazing. Only downside is that the cooling “gel” wears off a bit faster than expected but it still feels comfortable. Pros: Comfortable / replacement included / easy install / easy to clean Cons: Face pad cooling wears off in a hour or less

Ich habe nun 4 Facecover für die META Quest 3 ausprobiert und gebe gleich mal meine Platzierung bekannt: 1. DESTEK 2. ALAFLY 3. Silikoncover von META 4. KIWI V3 Wo ich bei allen anderen immer etwas unangenehm fand, überzeugt mich das Cover von DESTEK am Ende doch vor allem im Langzeittest als Alleskönner. Denn: Nicht nur der Sitz ist super, auch das Kühlkissen ist ein echter Benefit. Trotz Noseguard kann ich noch frei atmen (Minuspunkt KIWI), es drückt weder an den Schläfen noch an der Stirn (Minuspunkt META), das Cover kühlt dezent die Stirn und 3 Stunden ETS2 sind gar kein Problem. Dazu kommt, dass das Case für Brillenträger verstellt werden kann und ich ohne Brille und geringstem Abstand zur Quest Linse dennoch nichts an Tragekomfort verliere (Minuspunkt ALAFLY). Wer jetzt noch den Gamechanger sucht, der kauft sich ein BOBOVR S3 Pro dazu, denn der dort eingebaute Lüfter sorgt dafür, dass das Icecover auch kühl bleibt! Mit 2 Akkus, könnt ihr dann die Nacht zum Tag machen. Geiler geht es nicht.

Very comfortable facial interface with nice cooling feeling on pads. Fits perfectly in headset, I would argue that it fits better than the original. Makes long sessions comfortable and cool. Light blocker is a nice touch in theory but I didn’t find that it improved light leakage around nose. When the depth is set to the closest setting there is no light leakage but when extended there is a fair bit of light coming around the headset but it didn’t bother me as I don’t wear glasses. For the price I think this is an excellent option and this is a dramatic improvement in comfort and fitment over the original meta facial interface.

Super tolles produckt auch ohne kalt machen sehr angenehm und von unten kommt auch kein Licht mehr. Man ist komplett in der virtuellen Welt und das ist der Hammer! Sehr empfehlenswert!

This face pad is softer and cooler than the original. It fits perfectly and reduces pressure on the face, making long VR sessions far more enjoyable. Easy to install and clean.
