The Waykar dehumidifier arrived in perfect condition. Waykar uses excellent packaging materials. An easy to follow instruction booklet is included. The unit's digital control panel is simple to operate. The unit is quiet yet powerful. The design of the unit is sleek and good looking. I've used it in our 1500 sq ft basement and in our 2000 sq ft upper level. In both areas, the unit draws the humidity out fast. It is easy to remove and empty the water tank. A great value for my money. I am very pleased with my purchase.

In 2025, I was looking for a dehumidifier that was big enough to handle an enclosed basement to prevent mold as well as to assist in making the upstairs living area more comfortable during high humid summer days. I found the answer in Waykar 150 Pints 2025 Energy Star Dehumidifier This dehumidifier was just the right size for the job we had in mind. The unit comes with built in wheels, making the unit easily mobile, a blessing for those of us who are not able to do heavy lifting. The instruction was easy to follow, it took less than 10 minutes to unbox and set up to start working. In about 10 minutes, there was a trickle of water flowing out. Overnight, my house went from 80% humidity to 50%, including upstairs where central air was struggling to manage humidity. A huge plus, this dehumidifier has two options for condensation collection. I used a hose (included) to directly empty into a drainage built into the basement floor. It was exactly what we needed. The above review is reflective of last year. Beginning this summer, 2026, the unit did not work properly, did not condensate to remove the moisture. I attempted to troubleshoot by following instructions in the manual. I was not successful. I emailed Waykar customer support, in hopes someone would respond. I was pleasantly surprised. A representative, Penny, responded very next day with kind words of welcoming inquiry to help resolve my concerns. She responded by emailing clear instructions to help me troubleshoot. We exchanged emails several times and each time, Penny's response was always customer service focused, something we don't see often these days. Ultimately, we were not able to find a solution to fix the problem and Waykar offered to replace the unit. They truly live up to their "Reliabe Assurance", that "If you have any questions or issues, please contact us anytime by phone, email or official online chat—we are always here to provide exceptional service and peace of mind with your purchase." I highly recommend Waykar for it's functionality and now, more importantly, for their customer support.

Update: All’s well that ends well. My rating is actually 4.5. Had nothing less an incredible experience in dealing with Customer Support. The company is dedicated to providing customer service. What do I call that? Priceless. Was so impressed I purchased another new dehumidifier to replace the defective used-but-good-dehumidifier. Buying used is like playing poker. Sometimes you win; sometimes you don’t. Although the manual states the minimum operating temperature is 41 F, that’s not true from my experience. Don’t believe any standard compressor dehumidifier will properly operate below 60 F without issue. What do I like about this model? Several things. Size: Small footprint. Sound: Quiet. Best feature: Dehumidifies. Price: Is right. Original Review Item was listed as used but good. Waited to turn it on for 24 hours after standing it upright. Turned it on. Sounded like it was running. Humidity readout showed 77 after a shower. Had it set for 60. Ran for 24 hours. Not a single drop of water produced. Dead on arrival. Called the manufacturer for support. They were supposed to contact me on Monday- last week. I simply returned it & was credited. Bought 2 of these dehumidifiers. The new one works incredibly fine in our downstairs 72 degree F bathroom. Moved it to our upstairs bathroom where the temp is ~60 degrees F. Dehumidifier ran fine until I noticed there water stopped coming out of the drain hose. This time the humidity reading was toggling between 68 & 71. Pulled off the filter. The coil had iced up. Didn’t bother calling anyone this time. It’s supposed to have a defrost feature. Well, it wasn’t working. Moved it back downstairs to the warmer bathroom & it works as it should.

I received the Waykar YDZ80 80 Pints 2025 Energy Star Dehumidifier as a replacement for a different, defective unit, to be used in my home basement. Right out of the box, I liked this unit quite a bit. It has a very sturdy drain hose that has a tight seal to the drain plug in the back of the unit. It’s on wheels which makes it easy to maneuver, but it doesn’t randomly roll. After leaving the unit upright for 24 hours, as directed in the User Guide, I snaked the drain hose to my sump pump drain in my basement and plugged it in. I chose Continuous Mode for non-stop drainage. It’s working great! After only a few minutes, I can already feel a difference in the humidity level in my basement. It’s not leaking and the unit itself is easy to set up and is very quiet. Would definitely recommend!

I'm super sensitive to humidity and have tried a bunch of dehumidifiers, but none of them really worked for me. Our basement had so many water leak issues I was really struggling to get the damp and humidity out, so when I got this 2025 Waykar 150-Pint model, I was really hoping it would be the one. I actually bought a smaller one first but returned it for this bigger one. I'm so happy with it! It dropped the humidity from 75% to a crisp 45% super fast. The auto-defrost is awesome for cooler spots, and the continuous drain hose means I can just set it and forget it. It didn't take me long to figure out how to use it. It's super reliable, sturdy, and really quiet for how powerful it is. 10/10!

We purchased this little unit to keep our basement dry during humid weather and it has done an excellent job pulling moisture from the air without the high energy cost of running the air conditioner all day. It is compact and easy to move and very simple to switch between the drain hose and internal water bucket as needed. The controls are also very intuitive and flexible so we can target a specific humidity percentage or run it overnight on timer mode with the press of a button. Unfortunately, after a year of reliable service our unit started icing over instead of draining but I reached out to customer service and they responded right away with diagnostic questions to troubleshoot the unit and determine if it needed to be replaced under their free extended warranty program. I was already impressed with the unit's efficiency and ease of use, but reliable and responsive customer service is the best reason to buy from Waykar!

I've been very pleased with this Waykar dehumidifier. It does an excellent job of pulling moisture out of the air, and I noticed a big improvement in the comfort of my room within just a couple of days. The air feels fresher, and that damp, musty smell is gone. The unit is easy to set up and simple to operate. The controls are straightforward, and I like being able to set my desired humidity level and let it run automatically. It's also surprisingly quiet, so it doesn't become a distraction whether it's running during the day or overnight. The water tank is easy to remove and empty, and I appreciate that it also supports continuous drainage for longer operation. Despite its compact size, it handles a fairly large area efficiently and has had no trouble keeping the humidity under control. Another bonus is its energy efficiency. Since it's Energy Star certified, I can run it regularly without worrying too much about my electric bill.

J’ai acheté le déshumidificateur Waykar 80 «pints» modèle YDZ-80. Il a été commandé le 30 septembre et livré le 2 octobre. Bravo Amazon!!!!!. J’ai attendu au 3 octobre pour le mettre en marche pour m’assurer que le fluide caloporteur soit bien à sa place. Ce déshumidificateur remplace un vieux Sunbeam. Déjà en le déballant je m’aperçois que bien qu’il soit de la même taille, ce Waykar est au moins 30% moins lourd. Bravo Waykar!!!. Depuis qu’il a été mis en marche, l’appareil a réussi à abaisser le taux d’humidité de la maison (3500) pi2 de 66% à 49% en 3 jours et le maintenir entre 45% et 50% avec un minimum d’énergie. Quelle différence fait cet appareil «EnergyStar». Photo 1. Le panneau de contrôle rend l’appareil très simple à utiliser (photo 2). On peut même le faire fonctionner sur un horaire programmé pour être utilisé la nuit quand le coût de l’électricité est plus faible. Combiné avec la fonction arrêt-départ automatique quand le niveau d’humidité requis est atteint, on utilise une énergie minimale pour le maintien d’un taux d’humidité confortable. L’option d’un drainage continu de l’eau est aussi très «cool» (photo 3-4). Plus besoin de surveiller le niveau d’eau accumulé dans le bac et de le vider régulièrement De plus, le filtre est très accessible pour le nettoyage (photo 5). Donc, jusqu’à maintenant je suis très satisfait du rendement de l’appareil.

The Wayfar dehumidifier arrived very quickly on the day after placing the order. After allowing the unit to acclimatize for 24 hours we turned it on and it has been running almost constantly for the past week. The unit is sleek, compact and quiet enough so that it does not interfere with conversation or the TV volume. However, the instruction manual leaves much to be desired in that it contains multiple spelling and grammatical errors to the point where some instructions are confusing and incomplete. Overall we are happy with the performance of the unit. So far, it seems to be doing a good job extracting moisture from the air as we have to empty the water bucket at least twice a day and condensation on our windows has been reduced. I would have given "easy to use" five stars if the operating instructions in the user manual had been more clear.

Super performant

This dehumidifier does not work , at all . It cost me 500 dollars Australian. And zero dollars freight. Now I can't get a refund until I return it at a cost to me of $260au . Don't know what yo do .

J’ai acheté cet appareil en 2025 pour mon sous-sol qui est très humide. Le premier été il a été très efficace et mon sous-sol est devenu très confortable. J’étais très satisfaite. Mais lorsque j’ai redémarré le déshumidificateur l’été 2026, L’appareil fonctionnait mais ne déshumidifiait plus. J’ai contacté le service à la clientèle. Ils ont été très courtois et aidant. Après avoir vérifié avec eux différents aspects du problème de l’appareil, ils ont remplacé l’appareil sans frais pour le retour de mon appareil défectueux. Un grand merci au service à la clientèle et à Mme Evelyn en particulier! Je recommanderais cet appareil à ma famille et mes amis!
