Before considering this microphone, please note that unlike the Rode RØDELink LAV (or similar), the screw securing ring in the connector is NOT detachable. This means that if the input plug you wish to use does not have a locking screw thread, then this microphone WON'T work. The screw will prevent the plug from complete connection on a mic/input jack, where a screw thread is not present. It is NOT meant to work with camera's and cellphones, at least without using some kind of adaptor. The screw ring is designed to lock the lavalier microphone connection to the transmitter - so the talent cannot inadvertently disconnect the microphone. If you wish to use this with a XLR input, you will need something like the Rode VXLR+ connector to make the connection. For interviews and documentary use, this microphone is perfect for the job. Sennheiser sells a slightly better mic for this purpose if you are looking for broadcast quality, but for most of us who aren't looking for broadcast quality, this will fit the bill. This is the same microphone supplied with many Sennheiser wireless microphone kits including the AVX and G3/G4.

Bought two of these to replace my older ones that were giving audio issues. these had lasted 5 years, so can't complain but out of the two new ones bought, one is now not working, Mmm! Looking to see if I'm still in warranty to replace. The other is fine.

I bought this Mic as a back up to those that come with the EWG3 and G4...in comparison the sound is very poor..so I am now going to return the Mic for a refund...I am not sure if I have a dud Mic..or this is the sound to expect from all of the ME 4 Professional Cardioid Condenser Lavalier mics

This mic CANNOT be used for CANNON 80D camera because this banding ring interrupts connection with the hole. Adaptor of mic doesn't go deep enough as this ring interrupt, which doesn't allow me to record right voice. As a result, I have to buy another mic without using this one. Literally I wasted 130£ without any value. Very poor design.

Questo è un microfono direzionale cardioide per specifici use case. Piuttosto sensibile ai rumori del cavo ma riduce abbastanza i rumori di fondo. Richiede alimentazione fino a 10V. Io lo use con il mio Zoom F3 Field Recorder e rode vxlr Pro adapter con l'alimentazione Phantom. Perfetto ma delicato nei rumori. Deve essere posizionato verso la bocca ad altezza del petto. Non è omnidirezionale, in quel caso usare ME 2

Fantastic sound, this has been my go-to lav this year, and there's not much to complain about. The build quality is very good (coming from a Rode SmartLav+), and the locking jack is a nice bonus. I do wish however that the capsule was a little smaller. The size of the capsule makes hiding the microphone in clothes challenging. If you rarely need yto hide your mics like me, it's no big deal, but for narrative work, maybe consider something with a smaller capsule.

Comprei o Sennheiser ME 4 para usar em entrevistas e apresentações e tem correspondido exatamente ao que esperava. A captação é muito limpa, com a voz bem presente e sem aquele som “abafado” comum em microfones de lapela mais baratos. O padrão cardióide faz mesmo a diferença, ajudando a reduzir ruídos laterais e sons de fundo, o que é essencial em ambientes menos controlados. Funciona muito bem tanto em interiores como em exteriores, desde que colocado corretamente. A construção é discreta mas sólida, o cabo parece resistente e o conector encaixa perfeitamente nos sistemas compatíveis da Sennheiser. Depois de ajustado, é um microfone em que se pode confiar, sem surpresas durante a gravação. Recomendo para quem precisa de um lapela profissional, consistente e com qualidade de áudio muito boa, seja para vídeo, eventos, apresentações ou uso corporativo.

Siempre había comprado lavaliers genéricos, o tenía uno original por ahí con un set sennheiser que compré usado. Y ahora que compro el de la marca, nuevo, ni siquiera funcionaba, daba sonido 2 segundos y se iba 10, probé en diferentes canales y en dos transmisores diferentes y no hubo caso. Para peor, lo compré para un trabajo fuera de México y me tocó ver como devolverlo hasta allá para poder alcanzar la garantía. Mala experiencia.
