A bit disappointed as the smaller of the brushes was much bigger than I expected. The hair dryer part is great ,easy to handle.

I’m disappointed, I have fine thin hair in a bob. I bought this to replace an old one that had died. I spent ages reviewing different brands and what each did before deciding which one to buy. This had various attachments and I had visions of lovely hair with the odd flick here and there. No, that’s not what happened! I used my thickening spray, blow dry protection spray as usual and started off wit( the largest barrel on my sectioned hair. My hair was blowing all over the place there’s no way to turn speed down, just hot and cold. Foolishly I had rolled my hair around the barrel to create a flick , no! The barrel brush was stuck in my hair and I spent the next 5 minutes teasing my hair out a strand at a time. I gave up on any notion of a flick and decided to just get my hair dry in a no frills bouncyish bob. My hair was neither bouncyish or Bobby , it just looked like I had blown it with a hairdryer and no brush. You may think after this tale that I didn’t know what I was doing, well readers back in the day I was a hairdresser working at very well known salons but I’m not going to name drop. The long and short of it is it’s back in its box and I will give it to my granddaughter who has thick hair , maybe it will suit her better. Sorry Nicky Clarke I really wanted to like this but unfortunately I didn’t.

This is an excellent set of hair stylers, one large brush, one a bit smaller for shorter hair styles, a straightener comb + attachment to use like a hair dryer. I use it at least three times a week, gives a nice finish to my hair, easy to use. If mine broke down I would buy another one.

Fab bo problem

I have been buying Nicky Clarke's hot brushes for more years than I can remember; I keep one for travelling and another in my bedroom and always have one/two spares as I've always been worried in case it failed and I was about to go out (I am a terrible stockpiler!) or if it was discontinued. It's been the only brush I've ever found that 'does my hair'. So when my current brush finally overheated and cut out after many years of use, I grabbed for one of my spares. They've changed the power to 1000 instead of 1200 and the brushes don't fit direct to the 'motor' - there's now a venting gap between so all the 'hot' or should I say luke warm air disappears through the vents and never reaches the brush... it just blows the hair all over the place, it's not hot enough, there's now no control and it's useless. I've broken the box of the first one so can't return and anyway it's now beyond the return date, and I've another in a box unopened. What a waste of money and if they were going to change the specification they should have made more of it. I just pressed repeat order.... it looks the same but when you drill down, the quality is simply missing. Very disappointed and feel very let down.
