Elgato Wave Mic Arm Pro White, Gas Spring Mic Arm

Im not big on writing reviews, but my experience warranted sharing. After trying many mic boom arms for my home office desk setup, I found this one to be by far the best. I have an older Blue Yeti mic (1.5lbs) and I wanted an arm that can hold it overhead out of camera shot. I also wanted one I could dynamically reposition without having to untighten and retighten a bunch of joints. I tried several arms including from companies I would normally expect - from experience - to have great products, and was continually disappointed. A professional studio would use a high end Yellowtec or OC White boom arm but for 3-5x the price. What is available for the rest of us who need a good product without having to take out a second mortgage? This boom arm is exactly what I was looking for. I can put the mic exactly where I want it for a specific use case and it is very stable. It makes no noise as you move it around and the spring tension is adjustable to the weight of the mic so it will stay where you put it. It's a little skinnier than a high end arm but it is very adequate to the weight of something like a typical podcasting or vocal mic. The skinny size makes it unobtrusive and the springs are internal which I prefer. The magnetic cable covers are brilliant. It can be mounted overhead or slide out from under your monitors. Either way, it makes for a very clean and professional looking setup. Super pleased!

I hang a Shure SM7B off this arm, which is the mic that breaks mic arms. Cheap ones creak and slowly give up under the weight, and the more expensive traditional arms I've used tower over the desk and block your view or your mouse. This was my first under monitor style arm and it solved both problems at once. It holds the full weight of the SM7B without sagging or squeaking, and it tucks completely under my 57 inch Odyssey G9, a superwide monitor that disqualifies most normal mic arms on the spot. The whole thing is metal and it feels like it, sturdy and premium with no flex anywhere. That said, plan your desk before you commit. The clamp works great but it takes a good bite out of the desk, and my install ran about 30 minutes mostly because I had to shuffle things around to keep the clamp clear of a support under my desktop. The ratcheting handle helps a ton there, you can cinch it down in a spot where a full handle spin is impossible. Still takes a fair amount of desk real estate both above and below the clamp but once it's on, it's on. Day to day it just behaves. I gave the spring tension one slight adjustment for the SM7B's weight and it's been flawless since, I can move the mic exactly where I want with ease and it stays there, the angle holds even when I reposition, though mounted low under the monitor it barely needs adjusting anyway. And no vibration or sound transfers through it either. I have a loud keyboard on a heavy desk and the arm passes zero thump or rattle into the mic. The hidden cable channels are the one spot that took patience. The magnetic covers snap in hard, which is great once you're done, but the channels run a little small and the cable needs slack where it enters and exits or it pinches and pulls when the arm moves. Took me a few tries of popping the covers back off and rerouting before the SM7B's cable moved freely through the whole range. Do it carefully once and it's set. The kit also throws in extras I ended up not needing. The boom extension fits the SM7B fine but the arm already reaches plenty far under a monitor, extended it was too long for my setup. Same with the riser piece that mounts down at the base, it lifted the whole arm too tall for under monitor use. Nice to have both in the box, neither survived on my desk. It's not a cheap arm, but I've done the cheap arm thing and watched them droop with this mic. This one carries the heaviest mic people actually buy, easily slides under the biggest monitor you can own, and never asks for attention. If you run a heavy mic and a big display, this is the arm you want. Well worth the price, especially on sale.

Great build quality and easily attached to the desk with it acrew on mechanism. It does have pads to touch the desk so there's no meatl hitting it. The screw tools allow you to tight or loosen to your preferred angle which is a great tough. Setup is very easy. A little tricky figuring out Mic position (Shure MV7+), but only took a few minutes.

I got mine used and it works great. It felt a little weird at first because the low-profile design moves differently than a basic boom arm, but once I got used to it, I really liked it. Reviews and specs consistently praise this arm for its smooth gas-spring movement, quiet adjustments, hidden cable management, and strong all-metal build. It also supports up to 3 kg / 6.6 lbs, so it can handle heavier mics better than a lot of cheaper arms. The main downside is the price, and some people may need a little time to get comfortable with the way a low-profile arm positions compared with more traditional boom arms. Overall, it’s a very solid mic arm if you want a cleaner desk setup and smoother

It may be more expensive than most other boom arms, but the gas spring makes up for it in spades. The arms position has no play, you just put the mic where you want it and it stays there. Game changer for boom mics in this price range. The clamp can be tightened even is it's against a wall, and the frame is super sturdy. The ball head is also very well-made. No mic sag or position drift, it stays put, but you can still freely adjust it without loosening anything. I think this is the best value for a mic arm built this well and with this many features.

The arm is great and the range of movement is really nice. I like the low profile and the ease of adjustment. It’s solid metal, and looks great, but it’s not too heavy. I would say it was well worth the purchase. You’re getting a quality product with this boom arm.

Based on Youtube reviews and all the "Top lists" and needing to upgrade my mic arm, I bought this. Really sturdy, Smooth adjustments, easy cable management. Definitely worth if you want a low profile mic arm. IT ALSO DOESNT Squeak when you move it around. It also comes with a small piece that can raise it up a little higher if you have a few tall things on your desk.

I've had an "overhead" style mic arm in the past but I haven't used it in a while because it takes up too much space and conflicts with my monitor setup. For my video conferencing / online meetings, I've just been using the built in mic on my web cam, until I heard enough people tell me the audio wasn't that good. I recently saw an online review of this and didn't even realize that this lower style of mic arm existed. I decided to give it a try, and I really think it is perfect. Firstly, or where I clamp it onto my desk, it reaches exactly where I need it to be for perfect mic placement during my meetings. It stays low so I can even keep the mic out of the frame. The adjustability and flexibility are great, and the build quality is excellent. The cable management works well with the hidden wire space on the bottom of the arm. It did take me a bit to figoure out how to remove the magnetic panels - unless you know they are there, they are invisible, and it was tricky to pull them off to run the cable. Once you know how to do it, then it is fine, and you probably won't need to take them off often. The clamp to hold this onto the desk is very good. The inside of the clamp is padded so it won't damage the desk, and it can open very wide to accommodate a thicker desktop. The handle is ratcheted so if you are unable to spin the handle a full 360 degrees (which I could not) then you can still clamp this on. It is an excellent design and holds the arm firmly. The two-piece design of the arm makes it very flexible to place the mic at any angle. You can fold the arm back on itself to save space when you're not using it - this is much better than the "up and over" arms which are always in the way. There is also a small riser piece that you can either place on the clamp, or on the middle section where the two arm pieces meet, or leave it out entirely - this gives you a bit of flexibility as to how the arm pieces will sit. With the various attachment adapters included, you can attach different types of microphones or even other accessories such as lights or small cameras. Although it is a "mic arm", you can really use it to hold anything with a screw connector. The tension is adjustable and although I have not had to adjust mine at all for use with a standard vocal microphone, I have seen others adjust it to hold quite heavy items without sagging. My only niggle is that although this comes with an Allen wrench for adjustment and some mic adapters, there is no place to store them with the stand. I'd love to see a place near the clamp to be able to store the wrench and adapters when not in use. Now I have to find a place to put them and remember where they are. They do come in a small envelope so I suppose that I can simply tape that to the stand near the clamp where they are out of the way. PROS: * Build quality and finish are excellent * Very flexible in terms of positioning options * The low arm style is much better than the "up and over" style for many situations * Desk clamp is padded to prevent damage * Clamp handle is ratcheting to allow for installation under all mounting conditions * Comes with two adapters to adapt the holder for different mic mount sizes * Excellent cable management with undersize magnetic covers that hold tight and are invisible CONS: * No place to store the Allen wrench and mic adapters * Although the arms are height adjustable, you can't change their length. Shorter and/or longer replacement options might be nice as an additional accessory Conclusion: You might be able to find cheaper versions from other companies, but in my mind, it's worth it to pay a bit more to get this very high quality product.

Trovato in offerta, è comunque un prodotto costoso. A parte questo, è stabile, il fatto che sia regolabile a seconda del peso del microfono è ciò che consente la precisione nel posizionamento. Occupa molto meno spazio rispetto ai supporti alti, sappiate che comunque la parte bassa del braccio la avrete "sopra la tastiera". Con il rialzo integrato, sia lei che il mouse restano utilizzabili, diventa difficile se dovete guardarci su o avete vicino delle pulsantiere come lo stream deck. Ciò detto, altamente consigliato, se quelli sopra per voi non sono problemi

I've tried every arm for my shure mic, and they all sucked! This is the best arm for Mics! I trid going cheap, as I was like: "It's only holding mic, it doesn't NEED to be super expensive" Well, you pay for what you get. You want a Mic holder that stays put where you put it, and never have issues with it! This is the one. I'll only buy Elgato Products for my streaming set up from now on! They are just the best, period!

Acheté pour ma fille afin de fixer un micro Logitech Yeti qui pèse lourd, je ne suis vraiment pas déçu. Le support est très stable, j'ai pourtant tardé avant d'écrire ce commentaire mais 6 mois plus tard il n'a pas bougé et je n'ai pas eu besoin de le resserrer. On sent vraiment la qualité, certes à un prix plutôt premium mais je ne voulais pas avoir à repasser derrière fréquemment pour le refixer. Le système de retenue est vraiment bien fait et tout est dissimulé, mêmes les câbles grâce à des caches magnétiques. Si vous recherchez un bras de microphone de qualité c'est clairement un bon choix.
