Can I use 2 remotes with one DMP-A6? I would like to have one remote on my desk and another across the room at my couch.

To address your concern I believe so as I don't recall having to pair mine with my DMP-A6 MASTER EDITION, you can always use the app on your phone and the remote in the alternate location.
