It has phantom Power at 48V. You can engage it insets of two inputs (1 and 2 and/or 3 and 4).

This might be a dumb question, but can i use this device on my mac similar to how a usb soundcard works, to output 24bit quality audio to my speakers?

Yes, and no. You can output 24 bit quality, but only if the source is 24 bit. If the source is garbage this interface will not make it sound better.
