Decent plug end replacement

Had no problem using it. Side blades are solid, attached to plug end, but the screw that you use to attach the wire has a small square piece of metal on it. Don't unscrew it to far, if that metal falls out it would be a pain to put back. Ground end was easy, screw comes out horizontally. Yes, it would be practically impossible if your intent is wrapping the black and white wire around the screw, squeezing it tight is best bet. So be careful tightening the screws and remember, you ain't ever gonna be able to pull on the cord to take it out of the socket again, which is a good thing. How I wrecked mine in the first place. Couple bits of advice, cut your ground wire (green) about 1/4 inch/3-4mm longer than the white and black, or do what I did and cut them the same but have to remove the above amount of insulation from the white and black after attaching the ground. Black to narrow side (hot), white to wide side, blades on this are same size so you will have to put it up to your outlet to see which will be which. Oh, and don't forget to put the outside piece over the extension cord before attaching the wires ... like I did. Cold here today, and can't bring it inside, so warming up my fingers writing this before I go back out and do it over again. Peace!!

Good value

Once I got my wires attached, the finished plug works well. I do have experience wiring outlets, stitches, etc… so it’s not lack of experience leading to the difficulties I had. It did take me longer than I hoped to get my stranded wires attached under the screws. Kind of small areas and hard angles to get wired easily. I may buy these again as needed, but just as likely to try another company if they appear easier to use.

Pro: The overall size of the adapter is perfect; not oversize like so many. Con: The posts are not color-coded; I had to go look up which side is hot and which is neutral.

I used quite a few these adapters in the past. At this price this is the best one I bought. It has internal tunnel to separate ground wires from other two wires. The screw is easy to access and wires are pretty troubles to curve and bolt tight in place. After close the enclosure the outlet looks completely sealed and like a decent new outlet, does not have cheap feeling at all.

Disappointed. Over-tightened screw makes it unusable.The build quality seems good, but the "W" screw is fastened so tightly that it is impossible to unscrew. Attempting to loosen it feels like the entire base will break. To make matters worse, customer service is poor. When I requested a refund, the seller refused to provide a free return label. Instead, they sent a return address that costs 75% of the product's price to ship to. Save your money and avoid this item.
