This product is unsafe for sale in the UK. It has a US style plug and is 110 volts. As our UK supply is 240 volts you would need to buy a step down converter, which in itself is an expense and a bit of a minefield. Using this without a step down converter is a serious fire risk. It is irresponsible to sell this item for use in the UK. I would have given it zero stars for the UK if I could.

This item does not work in the UK as it is rated 120V. I had bought it in the UK and it got damaged during its first use. I am now having to go waste my time returning the item etc. to get my refund.

Never mind It comes with usa plug, you have to pay for the return post to return it.

DONT BUY IN THE UK. This product should not be on Amazon UK. It is 120 volts and cannot be used in UK without buying very expensive power step down equipment.

My experience was horrible. First it was splashing hot boiling water everywhere with the lid on. And after all of this, the rice is completely burnt. Completely unusable product.

It's perfect! I've been looking for an affordable, small rice cooker with a stainless steel insert for a long time. This fits the bill. I can make perfect rice for 1 to 4 people without a mess or toxins and without having a huge appliance to store. 1) As others have said (thanks for the heads up!), the measuring cup is NOT the same as a regular measuring cup. You can survive this. 2) The rice doesn't stick at all if you turn off the cooker when it flips to Warm AND unplug it. I let mine sit in the covered pot for 10 mins while I prepared the rest of my meal. The rice peeled cleanly right off the bottom in one swoop. Easiest possible clean up. 3) As the rice cooks, it may sputter a bit out of the vent in the lid. I put a paper towel on my stove in front of it to catch it. 4) My Jasmine rice came out perfectly. 5) The rice cooker is so small and I'll use it so often that I'm just going to leave it on my stove.

Experimenting with more elaborate dishes, I wanted to get a rice cooker that doesn't take up too much space and has a stainless steel basin, and makes the rice cooking aspect completely effortless. This seems to be the only one I found without a nonstick bottom, and I'm really happy with the results. So far I've only made sushi rice with it, the "1" cup designation they have makes just enough rice for 2 rolls. The water level indication in the basin (and when you follow the instructions from the manual) appears to be the 1:1.1 ratio used for sushi rice. It was ready in less than 20 minutes and the rice produced was just right, and didn't stick to the bottom at all. Amazing!

We long debated this purchase, but are extremely happy with it! It’s very easy, clean up is quite easy and the rice turns out great! Plus it is small, so it’s easy to store.
