Amazing watch at a great price ๐ฏโฑ๏ธ
Honestly, I love this watch for several reasons but Iโll get into that in a secโฆ A quick precursor- I am into watches, but I am not a typical โwatch collector guyโ who wants or needs to buy and collect a ton of watches. I want one or two reliable durable watches that I enjoy, mainly one for everyday wear and a fitness watch for tracking my steps/runs when I want to do so. My first couple of watches were a Casio duro dive watch and a g shock. Although these are great watches for the price, I really wanted a little bit nicer watch to wear daily that would last me a long time. For this reason I didnโt mind spending a bit more on a watch than I previously had. I was considering a seiko for a long time, specifically a seiko samurai. I know seiko watches are tagged as affordable starter watches, but I still didnโt feel like spending upwards of 400-500 dollars on a watch (this didnโt feel like a wise use of my money, but thatโs just my opinion). I almost bought a seiko samurai for around $470 on Amazon but could not get myself to drop that amount of money. Before this citizen dive watch, I had thought automatic was always the way to go, but what I loved about my Casio duro was that if I left it off for a couple of days, when I put it on, I didnโt need to reset the time because it didnโt need to be moved or winded. It was simply a grab and go watch and I loved that. I finally stumbled across this citizen diver (I previously was not attracted to most of the citizen watches I had seen). The thing that first stuck out to me about this citizen diver was the design and the price point. Around $240 dollars for a durable ISO certified tool dive watch that didnโt need to be worn constantly to keep time. Not only that, I really liked the durable look and appeal. I then saw that it was eco drive which means that it draws power from light, thus, I never would have to really mess with changing the time (minus adjusting date from time to time). After considering my options, and reading a lot of reviews of people who have had the watch for YEARS and still love it, I was sold. A durable tool dive watch that is powered by light and has good loom and design. Oh yes and the loom is pretty great on this watch too. I have owned this watch for about a week I really like it! I tend to like a smidge bigger size of watch so at first I thought it looked a little small. I have worn it for a while now and this is not an issue. Itโs an all around good sized watch (not too big, not too small) I got the blue version which I think looks really nice. If you, like me, donโt want to spend A TON of money on a watch but are willing to fork out a bit of moolah for quality, want reliability, durability, accurate time keeping, good design, great loom, and nothing too flashy, then this is a great option. 9.5/10 (I wish it was a SMIDGE bigger, but it is still a great size for my liking)

Great quality for the price.
Well, So far, I'm quite happy with this watch. It seems to be of good quality and keeps pretty darned accurate time. The brightness of the illuminating components (after being subjected to a fair amount of light) seem to be of decent brightness and it does last at least a little while, maybe around 20 minutes or so at that brightness. Then it fades but is still readable in pure darkness. I'd purchase another one if and or when the "time" came.

Tough service/dress watch
This is a beautiful service/dress watch. The Eco Drive system works well and keeps accurate time. The luminous feature works excellently and the watch is built like a tank. I appreciate the use of mineral glass in place of sapphire crystal for impact resistance as I am an avid mountaineer and constantly deal with scrambling up boulders, ice shelves, etc. This thing will definitely keep ticking for at least 20+ years. I exercise hard with it on and that includes a fair amount of sharp movements and shaking a of the wrist. So far no problems. I am grateful they tried their best to have a watch durable enough for diving without making the watch the size of a dinner plate. If you work with your hands, having something with a smaller profile like this watch, lends itself to function as opposed to solely a dress piece. For durability, appearance, and the size being just right for me, this gets 5 stars.

More than pleased
This watch has got to be one of the best watches Iโve ever purchased. The color is absolutely stunning, itโs a bit of a head turner. The silicone band is pretty nice I know some people in the comments donโt seem to like it but itโs comfortable, doesnโt look bad and itโs durable. Also what some people have mentioned about the seconds hand skipping twice is just the watch in Low power mode. When you just removed it from a box and a container the eco drive watch has been kept in the dark. It takes a few hours for the watch to go into a normally charged state. I took this watch for a dive this weekend and have had no problems with it whatsoever. Even if you donโt go on dives this is a must have watch

5-Year Work Watch update
Overall, one of the best pieces of work gear I have ever invested in, for my line of work. I am a swimming pool technician, a pool guy, and have been for the last 10 years of my life. I work for one of the largest pool maintenance companies in SoCal and am now a Route Manager, overseeing over 800 individual pools. My everyday has and still consists of many different jobs. Cleaning swimming pools, where I am CONSTANTLY submerging my hands in chlorinated and salinated (salt) water, which does have a corrosive and/or oxidative effect on certain metals. Interacting hands-on with different corrosive and oxidizing chemicals, all of which gets on my hands and wrists at some point everyday. Maintaining, cleaning, and repairing various pumps, filters, plumbing, heaters, automation/electrical pool systems, and valves. This frequently places my hands in uncomfortable, tight spaces where I will bang, scrape, and smash my watches against concrete, metal, and other hard materials in the equipment areas I am working in. I have worn this watch every weekday for the last 5 years for this job. I replaced the original rubberized strap for a nylon/cotton blend NATO strap so it would dry quickly and breathe better. The watch face paint has stood up very well considering how rough my job is on it, with what would be considered as understandable wear and tear. And in my opinion, it gives a worked-in quality of character to the watch. The crystal itself has a few MINOR scratches, which Iโm surprised hasnโt cracked or been marred even further, given that I have truly had it banged around hard in my line of work. None of these scratches affect the readability of the watch face at all. You actually have to look in an angled reflection to notice them. The lume of the glowing hands and digits are still VERY strong and last a pretty dang long time. Iโm in the sun all day long and so the glow lume gets charged like crazy all day, then lasts for hours into the night. I can also say with certainty that I have NEVER had a battery issue, being that itโs an Eco-Drive and it gets a full belly of sun every working day, Iโm not surprised at all. I donโt know when it will ever need a power cell replacement, but it's probably going to be a WHILE being that my line of work puts it in a recharging state at all times. Lastly, the steel body of the watch itself is as solid as when it arrived. It does have some scratch marks, but no gouges. And just in the last 6 months or so, a very light showing of rust-colored oxidization has been showing on the inside of the bezels. Iโm surprised its taken THIS long to finally show some signs of oxidizing with how often its been scratched and banged, then plunged into salt and chlorine water and exposed to various chemicals. Overall, I am very pleased with the performance and durability of this watch. In a job where I quickly go through footwear, shorts/pants, sunglasses, hats, multitools/knives/handtools, and other pieces of gear, this watch has stood out as the most rugged and long lasting piece of gear I have bought for my job. I have no doubt it will last a further 5 years easily in the exact same conditions, especially if I give a light polishing for any oxidized areas (which I still havenโt yet). Highly recommend this watch for someone looking for a durable timepiece that can take a beating and still look classy and handsome. I also highly recommend switching to a NATO strap for an even more secure retention (watch won't fall off your wrist if one of the strap bars breaks or pops out).

Lightweight dive watch with a few drawbacks
This is a nice watch overall. It looks nice, has a dependable and sustainable Citizen Eco-Drive movement, and perhaps best of all, itโs lightweight. Much lighter than I was expecting. Dive watches are typically heavy and bulky. This is a bit lower profile at 12mm thick and much lighter than youโd think it would be, even at 12mm case thickness. I have a slew of dive watches and theyโre all rather heavy and thick and Iโm honestly starting to get tired of it so this is a refreshing, welcomed addition to my dive watch collection. Iโm also looking forward to not replacing batteries or finding a place in my automatic watch case for it to live when Iโm not wearing it. I am a little surprised that this only has a 200 meter water resistance considering itโs an ISO compliant dive watch. Iโd have expected a bit more resistance with that title. After all, I have a Timex from the 90s that has a 200 meter resistance. Anyway, I donโt do much diving so I guess itโs not much of a drawback. As nice as this watch is, it does have a few drawbacks. 1. The watch strapโฆsucks. It's junk. Itโs made of a stiff, rigid, uncomfortably hard rubber. Almost like a dry rotted rubber, to be honest. Very little flex. Why they didnโt opt for a much more comfortable silicone material is beyond me. Who makes rubber straps anymore? I have thin wrists so I go all the way to the second to last hole on this watch. Unfortunately, the strap keeper stops where the strap begins to widen and leaves about an inch of strap just hanging out that to get snagged on clothing, which is pretty annoying. Realizing how much I was going to hate this strap, I placed an order for a NATO style strap immediately. But for someone who doesnโt want to invest more money on top of a brand new watch, this could be a real negative. The 20mm lug width was another drawback, for me at least, because all of my other watches are 22mm so I had no spare straps I could use and had to buy one. But it looks and feels a lot better with the new strap. 2. I think the matte black dial is kind of boring looking and unimaginative, and honestly doesnโt even look true black. It looks like a really dark gray in the sun, like a graphite. They could've at least given it a pattern s it's more than just plain flat. The green sunray dial definitely falls short of expectations. The picture online portrays a darker emerald green. The actual color is a brighter kelly green. Mixed with the white accents, it gives off "please recycle" vibes and I'm really not into it. Even the shimmer on the sunray dial is whitish and cheap looking. Really disappointing. I'll be returning this one, unfortunately. 3. Lastly, the packaging and presentation of these watches is just plain gimmicky. I have to imagine a good portion of the price of this watch is paying for the stupid faux air cylinder that serves no other purpose other than presentation. All it does after that is contribute to the rampant plastic waste in this world, which is ironic considering this boasts an eco friendly battery. What's the point if you're just going to pollute the world with plastic packaging that has no other function beyond initial presentation? Companies need to start being more eco conscious with things like this. Just place it in a regular watch box and save us both some money and the environment. But overall I do like the black watch and I will keep it. If youโre patient, they drop in price substantially for Prime Day, which is when I scored this.

An upgrade
Greetings, wow a great watch. I have the original which is fairly old and hard to get parts for. This is the updated Citizens Promaster Dive Eco-Drive watch and I love it. The watch face is slightly larger in circumference which I like. the weight is good, it still feels there on your wrist. The overall appearance is clean and smart. The only thing I did not care for is the strap. It feels like stiff plastic. I use clasp to keep my watches on my wrist. I put one on this watch and it looks good. The adjustment crown is off set down which is a good improvement. When you bend your wrist tightly the crown is not sticking into your back hand. Now, the crown is offset and out of the way for when you are working out or working with tools. Did I say the watch is good looking? It needs to said again. The watch looks real good on my wrist. As I am a US Navy trained US Marine Diver this watch is a very nice replacement and slight upgrade. The price is good too. The seller delivered the watch fast. No waiting, just good service.

Loooove this thing!
I can't say enough about this piece. I'm super into watches and own many vastly ranging in monetary value. I enjoy automatic watches and sometimes as a watch collector or even very low key watch snob, feel as though I should have gone that route instead of this quartz. However after a bit of research, this watch is right up there in capability with more expensive divers. If not more so. As much as I love to tinker with watches, I value accuracy a bit more. I haven't touched this watch's setting since I got it early July (it's Aug3) , and it's only -2 seconds off. I've read in forums where other's have had perfect accuracy after a month or two, but I can't vouch for that. Still, 2 seconds isn't too shabby. What's more, is the second hand hits EVERY SINGLE marker perfectly. I love that. Nothing worse than a quartz watch not hitting the indices. Another bummer about quartz, especially with dive watches, is having to replace the battery. That means you're opening up the back of your watch, essentially changing the water resistance rating from factory specs. Probably nothing that will affect what most people use the watch for, but still. It's great knowing this watch with the Eco Drive will probably out last me battery wise, and the case will never need to be opened. As long as you keep Eco Drives charged, they really should never need servicing (unlike automatics). The band was definitely a bit stiff when I got it which is no big surprise, but after a couple weeks of constant wear, it fits my wrist like a glove and feels plenty broken in. I also love how the case and bezel are both brushed steel as opposed to some divers that are polished and shiny. The case and bezel just have a real sleek cohesive look and feels a little less flashy, yet the trim around the minute markers gives it that subtle bit of flash when lights hit it a certain way. Very classy imo. Speaking of lights....the lume on this thing is absolutely insane. I love Citizen for their lume lol. I can seriously wake up at 4 in the morning and read the watch easily in complete darkness. Just walking in the house after being in the sun for a minute, you'll catch that beautiful blue lume in complete daylight. What else? Screw down crown. More water resistance than you'll ever need. Honestly the only thing that upsets me about this watch, is that after seeing numerous YouTube videos on it, learned it once sold for around $150usd about a year ago!! That's insane to me. People will even buy from you that little scuba tank the watch is packaged in, further offsetting the cost of this beast! So in conclusion, I love this watch. Do I still love the legendary Seikos...the 007, Sami, Sumo etc?.....sure. But for half the cost with better accuracy, I have zero regrets with this purchase. And to be honest, being in a few different FB watch groups....EVERYone has one of those Seikos and it gets plenty old seeing them daily. This is the watch for the dude that's into watches and knows how good the specs are, and only needs to impress himself. An underdog watch and easily worth the $200 price tag.

Great GADA watch from Citizen!
This Citizen Promaster Diver is a great watch. I was a little bit of a skeptic when it came to it being solar-powered with its Eco-Drive but it proved to be worth it. It has a chunky feel and it has some weight to it in a way that makes me know that its stainless-steel case and bezel is quality-built. The crown, when pulled out to adjust the time, still feels a little fragile compared to the rest of the watch. Be prepared for the second-hand to be skipping the moment you pull it out of the box, you will have to give it a good charge in the sunlight or lamp-light(from a safe distance) to get that battery charged up for regular second-hand intervals. The Eco-Drive can not be overcharged so you can let it get some sunlight as long as you like without worry. 200m/20BAR of water-resistance is worry-free as well, just make certain that the crown is screwed in tight. Good lume as well, nice and bright. Read up on the watch's workings and how to set its time from Citizen's website and do not forget to REGISTER IT. Cool watch, I am glad I got the Affirm financing to purchase it for an affordable $307CDN; it usually sells anywhere from $370-$450CDN everywhere else. I recommend it.

Citizen - 0151-09L - Excellent lume
Purchased this product almost a month ago. At first the packing. It was a huge box wrapped by some protective layer. Inside that box was lying a scuba tank which is worth seeing. Inside that tank, was the watch. Next the watch. You will be amazed to see the beauty of it. The polished stainless steel case, the glossy crown with the Promaster emblem in it, the highly glossy outline of the index markers will mesmerize you. The hands are beautiful with the hour hand outlined by glossy stainless steel, minute hand with vibrant orange outline, and the second hand is a thin white hand with a lume at the tip. The hour & minute hands are wide enough to see the time at any lighting condition. The dial is the deep navy blue colour (my favourite colour) on which the index marks & the hands really pop out. The bezel is also of deep navy blue colour. The strap is also navy blue colour which you may change if you donot like rubber strap. Now come to the time keeping capability of the watch. Its running 2 seconds late after 24 days. That means -3 seconds per month which is highly satisfied as you have to adjust time once in a year. Next the charging. The charging is quite fast. I opened the packing at night & after some exposure to the table lamp, it started running & I was amazed to see it running when I woke up in the morning though in a 2 seconds interval. After exposing it beside the window after about 2 hours, it began to tick in 1 second interval. Now the most striking feature of this watch - lume. Its awesome. You cannot understand this feature at the daytime, but at night, even in the middle of night, after 5 hours of last exposure to light, you can clearly see the glowing hands & markers with the naked eye (generally i use specs for reading & writing but to see timing in this watch, I donot use specs, it is so prominent). I was searching such feature in a watch for a long time & it is completely fulfilled by this watch. I really love it. Now the cons. The date window is really small though you can somehow manage to see it. the day is missing. The dial is quite large for small to medium wrists. The strap is of rubber. Final verdict : Every watch in this world has some pros & cons. It has also some. But despite it's cons, you should go for this watch without any hesitation as the appearance of the watch with deep navy blue dial & luminous hands & markers is great, the visibility of the hands is extraordinary, the lume is amazing with about -3 seconds variation per month. Its a must have watch. Addition after 7 months : it is running 8 secs late i.e., almost 1 sec per month. excellent.
