It hits home. Makes you consider your perspective and consider things you overlooked or didn't understand.

This study does a great job of making you pause and actually think about gratitude... even when your car won’t start, your coffee spills, or your Wi-Fi decides to take a personal day. It’s structured well, with scripture references and reflection questions that push you to dig deeper rather than just skim through. Whether you’re going through it solo or in a group, it’s a great tool for shifting perspective. If you’re looking for a magic verse to instantly make you thankful for Monday mornings… well, keep praying.

This bible study on Thankfulness is fantastic. I’ve been really impressed by the amount of questions and how well everything is written. The questions have really encouraged me to take a deep dive and examine my life and how I can be more grateful. The book is designed for a Bible study and it includes Leader’s Notes at the end of the book, which help as a guide for going through the questions each week. I just went through this by myself and it was detailed enough that I learned a lot even without a discussion group, although I would have loved to do this with others. It quotes from the Bible throughout and also from the Jesus Calling book. Each week is broken down into 5 days so you can work through it a little each day. This helps you to continue processing the ideas all week long and it’s beneficial to really soak it in. I’m really happy with this study book.

Great series of books to get closer to Jesus. Helps you when you are stumped and need a better way to talk to Him.

I'm taking off a star because I didn't realize that this was the leader's guide. That should really be in the title. The content is good, though, as with any Jesus Calling book.

I chose to request a review copy of this book because of how much I enjoyed Jesus Calling, and so far I’m loving this devotional study! This could be done as a 6-week group study, or independently at any pace (which is what I’m doing). Each session focuses on an aspect of thankfulness, opening with a devotional excerpt from Jesus Calling and including both discussion and personal response questions. Then, there are five days of digging deeper into various passages of Scripture along the same weekly theme, with more questions to get the most out of the Bible passages. I really like the format and the nature of the questions! For Bible study or small group leaders, there are also notes in the back, including potential answers for the group time questions. I would recommend this study to anyone wanting to connect to God through gratitude and a deeper realization of His presence. It is not necessary to have any previous familiarity with Jesus Calling to do the study.

It’s more like a workbook where you have to find passages yourself and then write answers to questions posed instead of a book where it shows you passages that reference thankfulness and then have you reflect on it.It’s not that great for people unfamiliar with the Bible or seeking to learn more. 3/5.
