Very easy to set up and take down. Perfect for location shoots. I’ve had it about four weeks shooting athlete photographs for a high school. I’ve had no trouble with it. It seems very sturdy.

I purchased this NS120P by mistake thinking it was the other parabolic softbox by NEEWER (SF120Q) that everyone has reviewed. However there are a couple key differences besides the price - this one is made with nylon fabric has a "Lightweight Nylon Alloy" bowens mount, whereas the SF is made from oxford cloth and has an aluminum alloy bowens mount. Also, the case is different on the NS which is just thin nylon and opens with a drawstring, as opposed to the SF which has a thick padded case with a zipper.I would say if you are looking for a bit of a more rugged/durable overall package, I would go with the SF with the oxford cloth and padded case, however if you are looking for the lightest option, the NS is the newer version of the two and is over a half pound lighter (more than that if you include the case as well) as well as $10 cheaper.As far as the performance, this is my very first softbox (just bought my first light, the amaron 300c two days ago!) so I really can't give an expert opinion, but out of the box, it's a great size for group filming and illuminates my warehouse style loft with 15' tall ceilings nicely! It also seems to have wider coverage than the aputure light dome ii (my only other reference), is quite light for the size, and is relatively easy to setup and tear down.

I loved this softbox—the quality is fantastic, and the light diffusion it provided looked amazing in my shots. However, I ultimately returned it because it was a bit too deep for my small studio, making things feel cramped. If I had a larger space, I would have been perfectly content with it. For anyone with ample room, this softbox is a great option!

Updated review,The company reached out and made the situation right, sent me a new softbox that works perfect. This thing is a beast and does its job. easy to travel with and take anywhere i need to go.

I originally purchased the 120cm option, which turned out to be too large for the Neewer light (despite being listed as compatible), and it ended up breaking the handle on the light. Customer service was slow but did issue a refund—though I'm still waiting for the replacement handle.Now, with the 90cm softbox, I ran into another issue. When assembling it, I noticed one of the rods was outside the small black strap. I tried everything to fix it, bruising and scratching my hands in the process, but it wouldn't go back in place.I reached out to Neewer customer service again. Two days later, the response I received was, "Thanks for contacting Neewer Customer Service. May we know your order number for this new, smaller softbox so we can check it? Thanks for your understanding."While I get the need for an order number, a little acknowledgement of the problem would’ve gone a long way. Very disappointing experience overall.

I regularly use lighting for photography and video recording as it allows me to control the amount of light and with the addition of a Softbox or other modifier I can diffuse it to get the desired results. This NEEWER 90cm Parabolic Softbox is ideal for professional or enthusiast level photography. It works very well for portraiture and a variety of other photography genres, especially when working with a single light source.The reasonably large size provides a very nicely diffused light output which falls away gradually and generates soft shadows. It can be used without the internal diffusers fitted to provide a more dramatic lighting effect or with one or both front diffusers fitted for a softer light and the addition of the grid then makes it a little more directional.It is supplied with a storage bag which makes it very easy to transport. Assembly does take a few minutes as each of the ribs needs to be locked in the open position one at a time which does require a little effort, especially the first few uses. When packing it down there are push levers around the entire circumference of the Bowens type mount which when depressed release the ribs enabling it to packed away. The inner diffuser sheet, outer diffuser and front grid are easily attached by hook and loop. The instruction booklet provides information on assembly and packing down and is certainly worth reading before use.Having used this Parabolic Softbox in my studio I am very pleased with the build quality and how it performs. I have mainly used it with strobe lighting and have also tried LED lighting and found it works just as well with either type. I have over the years used a variety of NEEWER products and generally find them to be good quality and value with this item being no exception.In summary I am more than happy with this Parabolic Softbox and how it performs. It is sufficiently sturdy to be used for location photography and having assembled and packed it down a good number of times there have been no issues with any aspect of its construction. I have no hesitation in recommending.

I like the way it folds for easy storage/transport.

I am extremely impressed with its quality and performance. The quick release mechanism is incredibly convenient, and the included diffusers, grid, and bag add great value.
