AIRDRIVE DESIGN. The drive gear is equipped with Tough Digigears in the heart of the Tafrile "LEXA" reel, which was developed to create high level of maneuverability and is designed to take into account of harsh fishing scenes. The outer core body material is made of high strength aluminum. In addition, the pinion part is equipped with a mug shield, which is synonymous with LEXA for high rigidity and durability. The new AIRDRIVE DESIGN has been adopted to improve the light weight and weight balance of the winding, and achieved a high dimensional maneuverability. This product is great for situations where tough is required, such as shore jigging, sea bass, SLJ, rock fish games, and more. DAIWA TECHNOLOGY; AIRDRIVE DESIGN Air Drive Design is a next-generation spinning reel design that pursues anglers to operate their lures as they want. The air drive design consists of up to 4 technologies. The 23LEXA is equipped with an AIRDRIVE ROTOR, AIR DRIVE BAIL, AIR DRIVE SPOOL ■ AIRDRIVE ROTOR (made by ZAION V) "Why pursue low inertia" DAIWA continues to work on the rotor's rotation response of spinning reels. DAIWA introduces a new shape as if it was cut out of the sphere, from its own theory. Thoroughly shaved unnecessary meat from that is greatly reduced while maintaining rigidity. This greatly improves the lightness of the winding which leads to improved operability and sensitivity. The 23LEXA is equipped with a ZAION V AIRDRIVE ROTOR. Strong and lightweight" rotor provides strong winding and light retrieve. - AIRDRIVE BAIL "More Troubleles" - AIRDRIVE SPOOL "New Design to reflect the future" in a thin design that thoroughly shaved off unwanted meats and is made to reduce weight. The thin design of the thread winding and spool skirt part is not limited to any compromise, from the cutting of the inside of the spool. The spool is lightweight for improved handling such as light retrieval and casting action. In addition, it has been developed with a new drag mechanism that has less operating resistance. Improved response during drag operation. ■ Daiwa unique waterproof structure that shuts out sea water and dust from entering by creating a magnetic oil wall with MAGSEALED magnetic, and maintains its light and smooth initial rotation performance for a long time. The 23LEXA is equipped with this technology in the pinion. Improved waterproofing and durability for high water resistance. ■ ATD TYPE-L "Chase is OPERY" The ATD TYPE-L has been improved to the initial response of the spinning reel while maintaining the characteristics of the ATD that continues to work smoothly. The tuning has been given a focus on the smoothness of the slide and further reduces the load on the line, and allows for quick landing without excessive stress on the fish. Review: Very smooth reel - This reel was a steal. Very solid well made and so smooth. Should be very versatile. Light enough to cast lures all day and strong enough for surf fishing. My only complaint is that it’s hard to read white writing on a silver spool.

This reel was a steal. Very solid well made and so smooth. Should be very versatile. Light enough to cast lures all day and strong enough for surf fishing. My only complaint is that it’s hard to read white writing on a silver spool.
