Panacea Products Arched Top Garden Arbor with Gate, Brushed Bronze

This archway is beautiful. It's not the sturdiest thing in the whole world, but I live in Dodge City, KS (aka the windiest city in North America) and I never see it sway or anything. It has holes in the feet for stakes and it holds in down fine since we also have it wired to some t-posts connecting it to our chicken wire fencing that goes around the perimeter of our garden. It was a little difficult putting it together, but not so difficult that I couldn't do it by myself. My biggest complaint is that there's only one little on one side of the gate that holds the latch in place, so if it's really windy (like 50mph+) I worry it might blow open. It wouldn't budge if there were two little pegs. But for the most part it's been absolutely perfect for what we're using it for.

Pretty and easy to put together with two people but in the end a bit wobbly, had to reinforce with rebar.

I purchased this Panacea Arbor on June 3rd 2018 and as of today, June 25th 2026, it is still standing firmed and beautiful.

I have two of these. The first one I bought at a hardware store in town and I have had for four years and works great and looks beautiful. I searched online for the second one I bought and found it here on Amazon the same exact product the one I bought on Amazon Is a piece of trash. The pieces that hold the gate to the sides fall off I have replaced them and the gate still falls off the hinges. The holes are different from the original and the hardware is different.

I've purchased 2 of these seperately - but still give it only a 3. Finish is NOT bronze - its black with gold 'rubbings' - I'd repaint it if I had time - doesn't blend well in garden and is rather tacky - but with plants growing up it, the look will soften. Terrifically hard to assemble alone and there is only 1 screw to hold the whole unit together - it depends on a 'force fit'. Very wobbly, gate latch pitiful. But - I couldn't find a better solution without paying much more. We reengineered both gates - drilling and adding stabilizing screws where the uprights join the arch pieces. Then we added long metal stakes that screw to the feet to stabilize. (the metal 'pins' for staking that come with it will not do the job.) Not for someone without power tools and and helper! Using as entry gates for a garden path and another for garden steps . I choose because of price and the 'hobbit' entry door look, as my adult kids are fans of the look.

This is a very nice design. I paid more and got the steel version. It is not as substantial as I thought it would be but it goes together easily and sits solid with the 4 anchors at the base. I was hesitant to purchase since I thought a bronze arch would be distracting with my black garden fence, but it’s not bronze. So if that is a factor that you are considering, took a couple pictures of the finish which is an antique black appearance.

I am using the gate for my vegetable garden. It was easy to install and looks fine It is perfect for grape vines. My only complaint is the gate just flops open It has a latch that just drops in place it should have a pin that can drop into the ground and or a clasp that can latch. I have added those butin doing so have certainly reduced the life because I had to drill holes

I love how beautiful this turned out! I was able to put it together myself, however it would've been a little easier with a second person helping to attach the top to the side panels. Definitely make sure that your ground is super level. Mine obviously wasn’t which made it somewhat wobbly, but we'll add some taller stakes to stabalize it.

Always wanted a gate like this since I saw the design in an Oriental garden. I's sturdy, needs to be leveled and secured for safety because of height and weight. Also, if you're going to order even a few small items, purchase the Amazon Prime package, it's well worth the save and service on shipping.

Had to add some extra legs to make more secure but looks amazing

Overall very pleased with the Arbour.Fairly easy to assemble.Delivery to within Ontario was quick was on time. Keep in mind the tube metal construction is light duty, so I would not recommend if you have children...the latch is very flimsy and doors are more for show. The price at this time in 2015 is only $235.00 CDN great deal
