Some are commercially machine-made in EU milk factories(There are no yaks or Himalayan cows in the EU) & some are of poor quality (smoky with cracks) & smell awful. We always tell our customers to compare them with our chews in terms of weight, texture, odor & color! 100% Natural All our ingredients from the yak milk to the lime juice are 100% Natural. Our snacks also do not include any preservatives that could lower the quality of our treats. Our chews come low in fat and salt (binding agents) so they are much healthier compared to our competitors. Gluten Free During the production of our treats we ensure that all the lactose and gluten are taken out, this ensures the treat is digestible for even the pickiest of eaters. Apart from providing ample protein for your dog's growth, our treats also aide with healthier teeth. The excessive chewing needed to consume the treat helps in cleaning out any plaque. Long Lasting Another benefit to Everest Dog Chews, is that they last at least 4 – 5 times longer than most other yak chew brands, so you get real value out of every purchase. How are they made? The yak and cow milk is boiled for an hour, after which the hot milk is poured into a hand-cranked centrifuge (to remove all of the fat). The remaining fat-free milk is used to create the Everest Dog Chew and the filtered out fat is boiled to create a local butter known as “ghee”. This ghee is sold as a separate product locally. When the milk has cooled down, salt and lime juice is added to coagulate the mixture. The milk solids are separated and washed to remove remnant whey. The milk solids are compressed and then cut to various sizes. When it gets a bit small and like a choking hazard, simply put chew in microwave for 1 min and it turns into a fluffy puff ball for you dog to crush up and eat. This is a pack of 2 x Large ones which are ideal for Medium breeds, our Springer loved em, but for Large breeds go XL. Well recommended if you want a chew that's full of all good stuff and lasts for about 4 hours. No stinky breath after, winner winner.

One dog liked it puffed, one dog turned his nose up!

I like these dog chews for two reasons...no rancid scent and it is all natural, no rubbish or bleached animal hide. The product is like a really compact yoghurt / cheese bar for dogs. No scent and doesn't splinter, just bits come off the more your dog chews n makes it warmer. When it gets a bit small and like a choking hazard, simply put chew in microwave for 1 min and it turns into a fluffy puff ball for you dog to crush up and eat. One of the best, if not the best for being long lasting that I have bought. Keeps my 11 month old golden going for hours. When it gets down to final inch/2 inch a quick 30 sec in microwave and it puffs up again to about twice the size and she enjoys it even longer. ( make sure you leave it for a good while after microwaving , (I leave about an hour) to cool as the inside can stay hot a long time.
