Chuckit! Pro 26XL Dog Ball Launcher Fetch Dog Toy Ball Thrower With XL Tennis Ball, 66cm

Awesome! Okay this is pricey compared to mainstream ball throwers, but for an energetic German Shepherd the Chuckit XL balls and launcher are in a different league - our dog can run for miles and dismember a tennis ball in a few seconds so we needed a long, consistent thrower with resilient ballsWe have only used the Chuckit XL Ultra ball with this thrower because we know it to be reasonably GSD proof (though, as pictured, the thrower does come with a tough looking XL sized tennis ball) - both are a perfect fit and work very wellThe launcher picks up the ball easily and releases predictably, even when wet/dirty/grassy - though one of our children struggles to get any height with the thrower it works fine for users 9 to 90 and quickly gets better with a little practice. Because the laucher is so long (26 inches) it is easy to pick up balls without bending.Downsides are possibly price - we paid about fifteen pounds for the thrower and another tenner for an ultra XL ball - but quality is very decent. I find the ribbed grip slightly uncomfortable but others do not - a very minor issue. Given we can consistently get the ball 30 to 40m with every throw our dog easily covers a mile+ of running in a 20 minute session before showing signs of fatigue - a tired dog is a happy dog :)

For the price I paid, I expected something fantastic. (After all, pound shops sell these!) I rubbed my skin raw from using the cheap ball throwers, so I invested in this as I expected it to throw the ball farther AND that the grip would be easier on my fingers.As to throwing the ball farther, not a bit. It's extremely rigid, as others have pointed out, and it's very hard to get the right technique to throw it. I can throw the ball almost as far just with my arm. (Tip: rotate your whole body backward, and then spin forward while holding and then releasing the ball. It will go twice as far.)Grip is indeed better and has saved my skin. But this factor is outweighed, literally, by the heaviness of the thrower. Would not have spent this much money if I'd been able to test-throw with it first. I'd be better off buying 20 of the cheap throwers at a pound shop.

Terrible product but even worse customer service from “TRUSTY PET SUPPLIES”. Despite the name there’s nothing trusty about them in the slightest. Broke on second throw and advised them within an hour of receiving. They’ve been promising to send a replacement since the 4th November. Now 9 February and they don’t even communicate back to you.Beware of this supplier. The products are cheap junk and their customer service is non existent.Loads of promises - zero action.Still no refund either.Don’t waste your time buying ANY product from trusty pet supplies.

The ball broke into its two constituent parts GRL together by the orange fluffy coating after just three throws and return by my dig. I did not let him chew it, he just carried it back each time in his mouth and gave it to me. Now trying to decide whether to return the whole lot — the stick is fine and I gave two rubber balls arriving tomorrow and I have found the rubber balls very durable. I feel trapped by the really cheap horrid tennis ball...

Chuckit make the best ball throwers goes further than other makes and lasts a long time! Haven’t broken one yet! Need the chuckit ultra balls or the glow balls for the longest distance as they are slightly heavier than the tennis balls! My dog loves this toy she can run for miles so this tires her out more quickly! Wouldn’t be without one now!

I’ve seen lots of dog owners/walkers with these, but they always looked so big, clunky and thin which put me off. Finally got one after looking at sizes and my dog is very happy 😃 this one is medium size so not too long. Feels comfortable, very sturdy and strong when holding and using it. You get a ball as pictured with it too. Good buy for the price

My favourite ball chucking sticks. I have 3 lengths and find the mid length the most versatile. The ball goes far enough without going too far. These throws are effortless to use and the balls are strong and sturdy (even the tennis balls). I also buy the rubber balls as my dog who chews can’t hurt them!

Brilliant ball thrower. Have had it for several years now and cannot fault it. Throws easily twice as far as other/cheaper throwers and is virtually indestructible. I strongly recommend the ultra balls as they too are very tough, bounce further and are waterproof. I have recommended to several friends who have all had a similar experience. In some reviews people have complained they cant throw very far, all I can say is that they don't what they are doing!!
