Storytelling extraordinaire and visionary street photographer Brandon Stanton is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Humans of New York , Humans of New York: Stories , Humans , Tanqueray , and Dear New York . To create Little Humans , he combined an original narrative with some of his favorite children's photos from his “Humans of New York” blog, in addition to all-new exclusive portraits. Review: Diverse adorable kiddos! - My 3 year old loves this book because it talks about little kids being big. I love this book because of the diversity it shows. Review: An instant hit! - This was an instant hit with our twin girls (aged 3) they took one look and said they want to read the 'friends' book. It's a short and simple bedtime read with positive messages about how children learn and grow accompanied by charming photos of the children of New York City. (New Yorkers will have fun trying to place which street and which block the photos were taken on). It's a great visual book with a lot of appeal to younger readers. There's not all that much there for parents but at least it's a fun and easy read.

Love it
I love HONY so out of loyalty I purchased this book. I was a tad bit disappointed that this didn't have the same type of captions you get on their Facebook. But it's a sweet book that has great pictures. My son is 7 and he struggles with reading. He not only read this book when we got it, willingly!, but he took it to school for show and tell and totes it up to bed often. I find it tucked half under him after he's gone to sleep. :)

The text is a bit lacking, but visually it's excellent
I was so excited to get this for my little cousin because I'm a HUGE fan of HONY. The quality of the book itself is great and so are a lot of the photos. If I'm being honest, I didn't love the text of the story. I'm not sure what I expected, but it didn't have the same depth that I'm used to from HONY posts on facebook and instagram. I didn't expect some profound philosophy, but it just left me feeling a little unsatisfied text-wise. It's great for kids who are at the pre-reading age who like to make observations and point out things in books. It would be good for discussing diversity, colors (many of the photos have kids in very colorful outfits and costumes), and teaching new words by pointing and explaining.

Great Book for Toddlers
Don't buy this book expecting it to be like traditional Humans of New York posts/books, with a backstory for each picture. This is a children's book, with only one line per page, with a rhyming rhythmn to give it sort of a sing-song feel as you read it out loud. My son LOVED this book from the time we got it when he was about 9 months old through now, when he's over 2. He likes pictures of real people and now we enjoy talking about what each child is doing in the pictures. I love that it features children from all sorts of backgrounds engaging in all sorts of activities. I highly recommend it.

Simple text, engaging photos...
Bought this book for my 18 month old son for Christmas last year and it became his most cherished book. It's all he wanted to read and he carried it around with him. I found him examining the pictures when he was alone in his room. Eventually he memorized the simple text and I could hear him "reading" it all by himself. He's almost 3 now, and it's still a favorite. It's terribly worn by now, but I will keep that book forever and ever. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good book for their child!

Love HONY (and Brandon) but sadly not a fan of this book :-(
I'm giving it the three stars "It's Okay" instead of the two stars "I don't like it" because I love Brandon and HONY (but I'm not at all wild about this book). I'm not sure if I just wasn't paying attention or what. I expected a HONY book with little human pictures accompanied by funny quotes and stories, not an actual kids book where it takes several pages just to get through one sentence. It seriously took me less than a minute to read it from start to finish. As a kids book it is okay but as an adult who is a fan of HONY it's a disappointment. I would return if it had been store bought. I think as a prime member I actually get free return shipping but I love Amazon as well and don't want them to be out the shipping both ways. God knows they have saved me so much over the years. I think I will pass this on in one way or another, either as a gift or donation.

Love HONY
Having followed the HONY page on Facebook I bought this to read to my daughter. I was surprised at the lovely story and quality of the book (until she can hold it no doubt!) and would recommend it to anyone that wants their child to see more than cartoon and animated images when reading.

Granddaughter loves this book
Simple, well written, great pictures. I ended up reading this 3x on Christmas Day alone at my granddaughters request. Clearly a toddler can identify with the message.

Carino e curato
Libricino molto carino e curato. C'è una piccola storiella raccontata con le immagini dei bambini. Può essere un regalo carino. Viste le dimensioni potrebbe costare meno (la metà) ma va bè.
