Our Pit loves them!!
We are on our third one in 2 years for our Pitbull Terrier. She’s an extremely aggressive chewer and will shred even the most “durable” labeled toys. She gets bored with rope style toys and always alternates to this Kong rubber bone. She will gnaw on this thing for hours. After a few days of use, it does start to show wear and the rubber begins splitting, but we haven’t had to be concerned about chunks or anything like that coming off and choking her. Keeps her teeth nice and shiny while keeping her occupied for hours. When one wears out, we just order a new one. I hate spending big money on dog toys, but these are more affordable and worth the cost!!

For some dogs they last years, for others just a few hours
So my Kong lasted 3 years. I brought it for my great dane puppy and it survived her for years. My girlfriend recently got a male terrier mix puppy. Only 7 months old and he only needed 3 hours to destroy this toy. 3 hours and this perfectly intact Kong that my giant great dane loves now has to be trashed. Needless to say my Great Dane isn't thrilled about one of her toys being destroyed by the "New" pup on the block.

Destroyed in an hour
It was chewed in half within an hour. Disappointed in this kong product. I have found that the green and blue toys are always destroyed within a few hours and the soonest within one hour. Any Kong toy with edges is easily destroyed. We have had a American Bull Dog, Great Dane, Lab Mix and new a Bully and have found this to be a true statement. The vet said to take away the hard bones because they are causing fractures on the Bullys teeth. We have a basket full of all different Kong toys, but how many treats and how much dog food can you feed your pup. I forgot to mention he eats everything he can get ahold of. Rubber toys have stayed in his stomach for 4 days and then throws it up. Yes, that includes sticks, blankets, shoes, anything he can get ahold of, but thankfully no rocks yet. He will be 2 on March 9th. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Decent Bone for Safe Chewing
My dog would prefer to have an actual bone but they hurt her teeth. This bone is soft enough she can chew without worrying about injury. She's a big chewer so it doesn't hold up great long term. But I've tried other Kong's and she doesn't like them.

Great chew toy for my Buddy
I have a 10 month old Sheltie/Rat Terrier who's mission in life is to chew everything he can wrap his jaws around. He has destroyed all his furry toys, de-stuffing them & turning them into rags in days. I've had to sew some of his favorites several times, performing "surgery" on them upwards of 10 times. I've bought him other Kong products, including the tennis balls...which he's torn the yellow covering off of it & made it bald (the squeaker still squeaks though). When I saw the reviews on this bone, I hesitated from buying it, as I saw the pictures of the chunks torn off of the bone by other aggressive chewers. But, I liked the name-brand, and I liked the ridges on it where I could spread a little peanut butter on it for a treat. After I bought it, he wasn't that excited about it. It sat on the floor for over a month. Other than him licking off the peanut butter, he let it sit. The last couple of days now, it's become one of his favorite things to chew. He has it under the table & gnaws on it several times a day. I keep an eye on it to make sure he's not chewing pieces off of it. Every day now, I put it in his bed where he naps. He'll chew on it for several minutes, then either leave it for later, or carry it under the table, where he'll continue to chew on it. I'm hoping this will now be his go-to whenever he's in the mood to chew, thus saving our carpet, wires, fabrics, cushions, and anything else that catches his fancy. I had German Shepherds that didn't chew this much. He's a machine! I'll make sure I get a picture of it before he destroys it to show that little dogs can stand with the big dogs in the business of chewing & destroying. For now, I'm very happy with it in keeping him occupied for more than 10 minutes.

Destroyed in 8 days
I bought this 8 days ago and this is all that’s left. I’ll be finding the tiny chewed up pieces for months. Don’t love the tiny shards of black plastic underneath the rubber.

Not for strong chewers
It was good for a couple days, but my dog and new pup chewed through it in no time. Not really the best for super strong chewers.
