It doesn’t work great
There’s a reason why these are cheap.

Like the fact I dont have to remove my handguard is a plus
Update: on a longer ride yesterday I played more with the throttle lock. As mentioned, I moved to the right side of my hand to better control when I need to stand and don’t want interference. The lock was easy enough to set with my pinky finger, but it always seemed to slip. Honestly, not a big deal because I got to rest my hand. Would it serve as a cruise control? Only if my goal was to decelerate. I haven’t removed the hand guard to install the rubber ‘washer’ ring yet, but my grips are rubbery too.Previously I ordered a different (plastic) version of this type of throttle lock, but it has to be slipped over the end. Thats a no go for me because of the handguards. I have no desire to leave the lock on there when not in use. This can be opened wide enough (but tight) to fit over the throttle. I tried on the inside of the grip and didnt like how it pushed my hand too far out. Grips that are tapered, like mine, are more challenging for this tool. I moved it to the outside end of the grip and it works there, but more of a hassle to set. Best option I've found yet for my Tiger.Update: It slips a lot. Therefore, this hasnt been useful for more than giving my hand a short break. It might work better with your bike and grip.
