Excellent sound quality with a few setup nuances
I’ve been really impressed with this headset, especially after taking the time to adjust the settings properly. The sound quality is outstanding, but it does require some setup to get the most out of it. To really unlock its potential, you need to configure the EQ using dolby atmos (which comes included) or through Corsair’s iCUE software. Once dialed in, the audio becomes incredibly immersive, with clear highs, deep bass, and a balanced overall profile. Without that setup, the default sound might feel a bit underwhelming for such a high-end option. The active noise cancelling works well enough to block out distractions without feeling too heavy-handed, which I appreciate for longer gaming sessions or even just casual music listening. The Bluetooth and wireless connections are seamless, and being able to switch between them is a game-changer for multitasking or taking calls mid-session. Build quality is solid, and the headset is comfortable to wear for extended periods, though it can feel a bit snug at first. It’s clear that the premium design is meant to last, and I’ve had no issues with connectivity or battery life. Just keep in mind that setting up the software and EQ adjustments is a must if you want to experience everything this headset can deliver. Once that’s done, it truly shines.

Do not recommend, have had to RMA Twice, Sound quality great, construction is dissapointing.
**Update 16/06 downgrading to 1 star as having to RMA the replacement i got last year as the headband has started falling apart, audio quality is great but build quality has been a disappointment for the price asked. The audio quality for a wireless gaming headset is fantastic i have no complaints about that, however I have had to RMA it for the headband breaking, despite the price putting this in the premium range the headband is made from clear acrylic and is prone to snapping, My trust in the quality has disappeared and I believe it won't be long until I need to RMA the new one for the same issue as I can feel it beginning to sag due to the weight of the drivers

Bad build quality - Good everything else
I will start with the good: -Battery life is good, I can go almost a week without charging and I use this every day for several hours at a time -The audio quality is great. -The microphone is good, I don't have complaints from about being too quiet/loud/like mic is far away etc from my friends. -Easy to use controls on the headset The "OK": -Connectivity is ok, when I first had it I could go all around my house without the connection being broken, but over time it felt like the range got less, and when the connection is broken it take around 30s to reconnect which is annoying, on my previous Corsair headset it would reconnect almost instantly. -Comfort is ok Now the bad: -After less than 1 year of owning the headset, the glue on the headband came loose, I contacted Corsair directly and managed to get a return and replacement quite quickly. After just over 6 months of the replacement headset, the same is happening again. I would rate it higher but the build quality really lets it down. It is a shame because I do like Corsair products, my keyboard, mouse, memory, PSU are all Corsair. But for how much I paid for this I would expect it to last a lot longer. My previous Corsair headset was a "Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless High-Fidelity Gaming Headset" and the only reason I changed it for this one was because the fake leather headband started to decay giving me black dandruff, but only after 4+ years of use.

Not a bad headset in general but uncomfortable
There is quite a lot I actually like about the Virtuoso Max but unfortunately it is massively let down by poor design choices on the comfort side. It doesn't matter how great a headset is and it's features if it's just not comfortable to wear in the long run. The earpad cushions really are very misleading. To look at them they seem to be very thick and padded but half of it is just hard plastic for the earpad mounting design. Also the headband is rather uncomfortable and gives a hard pressure feeling after a while, which I really don't understand how they messed this up so bad considering they already have a much better headband design on the HS80 series. The audio quality on these is pretty decent though for a gaming headset and the sound ID feature in Icue is actually quite impressive. One strange thing for me though is they seem to be very loud for some reason compared to other headsets I've used. Even on volumes as low as 12-18% they are quite loud when using at night. I do quite like the appearance of the headset too even though I'm not usually a fan of circular earpads. The RGB is also very nice and subtle, plus it flashes different colours on the RGB rings when you take them off to indicate the battery level which is very nice. One feature I really love on the Virtuoso is that it has some kind of motion detection that detects when you take them off and put them on. So when you take them off they go into standby mode to save battery life, and then as soon as you pick them back up to put them on your head they wake up and audio comes straight back on again. So overall a half decent headset but the comfort just really needs looking at. If Corsair decides to make a new version of these then they should really focus on comfort and build quality.

Best headphones I have had.
After looking at several reviews of this headset, I was concerned about how it would feel to wear. After using these for almost a week, I have had absoultely no issues with them. For me, these are vert comfortable to wear, even for long sessions. The active noise cancellation works really well. Transparency mode also seems to work very well. I must say though, I have not had headphones with these features before so don't really have a reference to compare them to. The simultaneous bluetooth and 2.4 GHz connection is great. I can use the headphones form my PC, while still hearing notifications from my phone. Audio quality is fantastic. After configuring my SoundID profile, it's perfect. Overall seems louder as well. With these, I can keep my PC volume at 2-4, where was my previous headphones, to get the same loudness, my PC volume needed to be 22-24. Overall, compared to my previous headsets, these are probably the best I have ever had.

Premium Sound with Some Trade-Offs
Premium Sound with Some Trade-Offs I was drawn to the Corsair VIRTUOSO MAX because of its promise of high-end features like Dolby Atmos, active noise cancellation, and the advanced 50mm graphene drivers. At first glance, the Carbon finish feels sleek and professional, and the build quality gives the impression of a sturdy, premium headset. Unboxing it, I could tell it was designed with both gamers and audiophiles in mind, and I was excited to put it to the test across PC and console. The audio quality is genuinely impressive. The graphene drivers produce detailed, rich sound, with bass that doesn’t overpower the mids and highs. On PC, Dolby Atmos adds a great sense of spatial awareness, making it easier to pinpoint in-game footsteps or direction of dialogue. I also appreciated the SoundID personalisation, which lets you tweak audio to your exact taste. The microphone is clear and consistent, which is a bonus for team-based games. The ANC works well enough to block out everyday background noise, though it isn’t quite on par with dedicated ANC headphones. Overall, this is a strong choice if you’re looking for a gaming headset that also performs well for music and general use. The price is on the high side, especially when compared to other gaming headsets with similar features, and some may find the ANC performance a little underwhelming for the cost. Still, the sound quality, wireless versatility, and sleek design make it an excellent option for those who want both style and performance in one headset.

Do not buy it... go with the basic set instead of this crapp.
Do not buy this Set...0z\ after a year i had to use duck tape to fix poorly glued material to plastic for the top of your head . Durability sucks... I am using a string to tighten the headset around my ears on top of that as well... in two months you will have to hold the set just to move your head around. There are no soft cussion options for you if you are in europe unless you want to spend 3 times the ammnt for delivery. System Updates require the original cable for some reason and lasts 10 mins or more with some of them... it is a failed product and i do not recomenned it it to anyone... RGB had better sound and i regret spending more money on this crapp. Corsair you sure milked me good with this one... who even aprooved this? It gets a star only bcase it still works.

MAX everything.
This headset has a very premium feel to it. Felt a bit tight but didn’t hurt even though I wear glasses but once adjusted properly and over time I imagine it’ll get more comfortable. Sound quality is absolutely amazing, especially with Dolby atmos and the soundID. Microphone quality is very good too. Battery life is incredible. I don’t have many/any negatives to say about this headset. Corsair products have always been incredible. I upgraded from the virtuoso XT and the difference is incredible. It’s the best headset I’ve ever used.

Corsair does it best
The perfect headset, sound is 10/10 Material 10/10 My only fault is it is a small bit uncomfortable with the padding on top , but after awhile it gets more comfortable once material softens

Nie spodziewałem sie, że Corsair zrobi tak dobre słuchawki gamingowe. Do poziomu audiofil w muzyce dużo brakuje, ale w gamingu rewelacja. Na ogromny plus - wykonanie.

Fantastic sound quality after running ique software. Surprisingly comfortable and easy to use.
Ok, I read many other reviews on this headset and was surprised to see so many people saying the sound quality is not good, and that the headset is uncomfortable. I completely disagree. I’ve been wearing them for 6 hours straight and my ears/head are not sore. They are light and have fabric EarPads. The ear pads are one of my favorite parts, they are soft, conform to my head nicely and block out a lot of background noise even with the noise canceling off. Out of the box, the audio quality was a bit unimpressive. But where this headset shines is truly within the software in icue app. I am using them with a pc and already had the icue app. The app immediately recognized the headset and connected to them. I updated the firmware and went through the setup for corsairs “soundID personalization” which takes about 5 minutes. It automatically sets an eq profile based on your hearing profile and adjusts each speaker individually to give you the best listening experience for your taste. It transformed the sound quality into something amazing. Seriously.. amazing. I am impressed. After playing a few hours in game and watching a movie I was even more impressed. It feels like I’m sitting in a theater. This headset supports Dolby atmos and sounds absolutely incredible. I also spent some time on discord with my brother and before I could tell him I got a new headset he had already made a comment about how clear my voice was coming through. Microphone works well. The sound in game was incredible. I Highly recommend spending the time to set up the soundID profile and downloading Dolby atmos. Both are super easy to do and took me almost no effort.. another cool feature is that while you have it connected to your pc, you can also connect your phone and it will play overlapping audio from both devices at the same time. Super cool. my previous experience with headsets that need software was with razer synapse and I was so frustrated with their software I swore that I would never buy another headset that needed software. I was pleased to find that you don’t have to have the software but i do highly recommend it. I was also a bit nervous about spending this much money on a headset because I was so disappointed with my high end razer headset. I feel this headset is worth the money and I finally feel like I got what I payed for. It is good quality and well made. I will update after I’ve used them for a few weeks. *** after using this headset for several months now I am still in love with it. They still work flawlessly with my system and connect seamlessly. The noise canceling is honestly pretty impressive. The battery life is amazing and the range on the wireless is fantastic. I can walk downstairs and into my kitchen without them disconnecting at all.

Auriculares Premium
