Durable, Easy and Great Taste
This has been great. We're saving a lot of money (and waste) using this instead of bringing in cans of seltzer. It's very easy to use (just make sure it's locked in before pressing down otherwise water will spray everywhere!). I purchased a few extra bottles as we go through this very quickly. Great product!

Sleek at-home solution to fizzy water
First off, it's a beautiful machine. Right up there with other fancy tabletop appliances like espresso machines and Vitamixes. It's all steel, very slick, very shiny. It classes up my kitchen. It's also pretty straightforward to use - just screw in the carbonator, add a cold drink to the glass, and off it goes. You can make a bottle of fizzy water anytime in just a minute or so. Unfortunately it's not as good as your Buble or La Croix type waters, but this is probably fractions of the price of course. Now, it's worth noting that it doesn't come with everything you need out of the box. You need to actually buy the carbonators, which seem to vary in pricing. So I was a bit disappointed when I got the product and couldn't actually do anything with it until days later. But all good.

Tried many other competitors; Zero regrets
Best, most consistent, smallest footprint and stylish. Lucked into a used model.

Solid Product
Feels heavy duty with plenty of fizz. Looks like a solid piece of small appliance that belongs on the counter rather than a cheap piece of plastic that will tip over.

Overpriced and finicky carbonation
The media could not be loaded. I honestly didn’t know how to rate this Breville InFizz carbonator, because I have really mixed feelings about it. It’s more aesthetically pleasing than my other manual carbonator. It’s from Breville, and I’m a huge Breville fan. The twist and locks system is much quicker than a full screw-in one. Carbonating bottles are nicer. Uses screw-top CO2 canister (don’t care for the quick connect ones). And finally, the bottles keep beverage carbonated for a good 2-3 days. However, getting the right lever pressure and pulses to carbonate the water is finicky, in my opinion. It should be pretty straight forward - after you install the bottle, press the lever in 1-second pulses, 3-5 times for preferred carbonation level. Pull bottle forward to release remaining pressure, remove the bottle, and voila! You now have some sparkling water. But in my experience with it over the past few months, I just can’t seem to get the right lever pulses down to get decent carbonation within those quick 3-5 presses. I ended up doing 2-3 long presses until the gas stopped carbonating itself. And regardless of quick or long presses, the pressure wasn’t naturally releasing on its own after each press or even every other press - I have to manually release pressure by pulling the bottle forward between presses. This was actually worrying me a lot, terrified of the bottle exploding off the carbonator. I’ve removed, re-checked, and re-seated the CO2 canister, even swapped canisters, and it didn’t make any difference the lever presses or pressure automatically releasing. I’ve even watched other reviewer’s videos to see how they were carbonating, but they’re all pretty much the same and most of which at the InFizz Fusion (different carbonator than this one). No matter what I’ve tried at this point, to get decent carbonation is more work with this InFizz compared to my other carbonator. But I’m not giving up on it yet - part of me still thinks it’s user error as perhaps I’m just misunderstanding its operation, and other people seem to love theirs. I definitely don’t dislike this InFizz, but I do find myself using my other carbonator more than this one. Lastly - as much as I love Breville products, I’ll be the first one to admit some of their items are overpriced. The $2500 Oracle Touch Espresso machine we bought? Absolutely love that dang thing and is 100% worth its price tag. This $199 carbonator I received for free? Not worth its retail price at all. It’s not even electric at that price, nor can you fuse flavors/juices/etc. in this one - water only. If you want a carbonator that doesn’t break the bank - look for another brand. If you’re interested in specifically this Breville one - then wait for it to go on sale.

A Good and Attractive Appliance, Canisters not included
I am really enjoying my carbonator, but I think it's important for newcomers to this appliance, like me, to know that it does not come with any canisters, and you must purchase canisters. There are many choices for this, including subscription programs. And the price of the soda stream or philips or other brand canisters varies widely. We have been using the carbonator since Christmas, and go through a canister every three weeks or so with normal use with a family of five to seven, depending on the week and weekend. This is a little bit more than others may go through, and the average is 60 liters per canister within 4-6 weeks on average. Also want to say the design is great--very sleek and modern on the kitchen counter.
