Absolutely excellent revision guide - I thought it would be too basic but it's actually clear and helpful.BUT I HAVE JUST HEARD THEY ARE ABOUT TO CHANGE THE SYLLABUS TO MAKE IT MORE PRACTICAL SO THIS MAY BE LESS USEFUL TO FUTURE BHS STAGE 1 CANDIDATES

Excellent for studying and revision - helps guide your learning and understanding - well designed "DART" tasks consolidate learning and develop understanding.Content complements the stage 1 BHS training manual - doesn't repeat but adds angles and helps you join the dots in your own knowledge.

I got this book to help me with BHS Stage 1 care exam. It proved to be great help, and I found retaining the information much easier. . I Passed my exam

I tend not to write straight onto the page the first time round and write on scrap paper instead. You can make the book 'last' a bit longer that way as you usually do better when you test yourself the next time round. It's worth getting this and doing the exercises as it does help make sure you're on the right track. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that it's a bit simplistic for me. But then that might be a good thing for some, e.g. youngsters.

Purchased for my daughter to brush up on her revision prior to starting college.Excellent work book, good quality paper and easy to understand.

Very basic but then the stage 1 assessment is quite basic so it makes sense. I find it useful after completing my practical sessions to test myself using this book.

At first glance I thought, oh this is easy I don't need to fill this in. But as I looked through the workbook I realised that the questions were asking the obvious and made me take them seriously so that I was able to answer the obvious in a well structured manner, it did help me on the day because I'd had practice filling in the work book. I highly recommend, I've now started on my stage 2.
