I really like the Spalding TF DNA Basketball. Sometimes, you don't always have a coach to critique your shot, and I think this basketball with the subscription to the app is a great substitute, and its insanely cheaper as well.The yearly app subscription is 124.99, so about 10 bucks a month and some change. A trainer can range from $80 - $200 for a single hour.On the app, when you shoot, theres 4 metrics it looks at.1) Release time2) Shot arc3) Rotation on the basketball4) Shooting formSo the app tracks all of that, and you can make it so it gives you feedback after every shot. Furthermore, you can find your own sweet spots based on the shots made, and set those values in the app, so the app will tell you how far you're deviating from your personal high percentage shots.It also tracks how many shots you've taken in a session, makes in that session, and misses within that session, which is extremely helpful if you're practicing by yourself.The only thing I will say is that for now, the app is on iPhone only, but they have reassured me they are working on an Android app, dunno when its coming out though.Sometimes the app registers a miss as a make, and vice versa, BUT its extremely rare. I would say about 4 every 100 shots. However, my net is a little loose, and the customer service team said that plays a factor into it, so i'll put that on me to change the net.The ball itself feels really close to the spalding all court basketball, but a little softer. It does not feel heavier or lighter than a regular ball, so you don't have to worry about that.The bounce is just like any other ball, if you follow t he instructions and inflate it to 8 PSI.The customer service team is great, and has been very responsive, which is amazing.No bs, I would definitely buy this ball again!

This ball is incredible. I barely leave reviews but this was worth it to get the word out. It takes a bit to get used too but after a lot of uses, you start to understand the feedback and the recording almost always works. I had a defect with my ball but customer service handled it instantly.Shooting without this ball just doesn't feel right as you don't get any feedback. The texture / feel is great and technology these days is awesome. Amazing gift for any basketball player (or for yourself) as it truly makes shooting a fun progress

The product is great, I love this for myself and my daughter! The shot tracking is very cool and now my daughter thinks she better than me. Really excited to try this out.... As a Prime Subscriber, Amazon has to do better with tracking details and narrow down the delivery windows so you're not ending your day waiting for your package.We waited all day Saturday and only update we got was "out for delivery" no window or estimated time. Five star product, 1 star for Amazon shipping.

Okay, so 100% on me for missing the parenthetical in the item description that this very expensive basketball is useless if you're part of the 70% of the world that doesn't have an iOS device.Again, completely my fault. But I'm still ranking one star because this is the year of our lord two-thousand and twenty-four, and we're still doing mobile OS exclusives like it's 2008. The company that they're partnering with (SportsIQ) has their app available for both Android and iOS. Given that the item is effectively useless without an i-device, it'd be swell if that were featured much, much more prominently. You know, like in the title.

Purchased for my daughter so she could improve her basketball skills. She uses the ball daily and it’s improving her shot. TF DNA has some cool features that can tell you if your shot is flat or your arc is to high, it also checks the rotation of the ball so you are constantly flipping your wrist to keep the rotation correct on your shot. Very cool technology that I would recommend!

does what it should, I would say its 85% accurate. High price for subscription though, would not tailor this towards younger kids not really in that beast mode yet though (my son is 10, plays AAU and practices non-stop, still not really for him yet).

Great product right out of the box. Came with a one year subscription and was easy to setup. Nice look and feel. Responds like a regular looking basketball despite its “smarts”. Dribbles with a natural bounce. And you can use it with or without the app. But without it, you miss out on excellent skill building feedback in real time. Pair it with your own ear buds, and that feedback comes to you as you play. It’s quite amazing. Kids can’t get enough of it. Everyone who’s tried it, adults included, have had a ball! ( pun intended )🙂 And since they’re happy, I’m happy. 👍
