It's a lot of fun, but may not be as permanent as you'd like.
This product has required a bit of trial and error, but I have to say that I'm really impressed with the color and am having fun with the dye. As a preface, I applied the dye to unbleached, naturally medium-to-light brown hair.To get a sense of what I was working with before getting too deep, I dyed a small piece of the underneath of my hair-- enough to stand out if I wear my hair up, and naturally colored hair dark enough to get a sense of what the dye would look like on lighter hair. I washed my hair with deep cleaning shampoo to give myself a clean slate. I mixed the dye with white conditioner based on other reviews I read to make it a little more pastel. Left it on for about an hour, did a rinse with cold water (immediately regretting getting my whole head/body wet with the cold water given how chilly it has been lately) and blew-dry. Awesome results.Impressed with the color, I decided to take a step further and dye more of the underneath layer of my hair. I did this the day after doing the first strand but did not wash my hair with the deep cleaning shampoo nor did I mix the dye with the conditioner. I applied the dye, waited the hour, added some heat by blow drying my hair while the dye was in, did the rinse with cold water (only my head this time) and blew my hair dry. Even better results.Initially, the color was very obvious but I definitely noticed it started to fade after a couple washes of fairly mild shampoo. Not a complete deal breaker for me, as I wasn't looking for something more obvious or permanent, but if you're looking for something that will stick out and/or around for longer, you may want to change your process or consider a different product.I just applied the dye for the third time after doing more research on the matter. This time, I left the dye on for 6 hours, applied heat via blow-dryer, rinsed with cold water, and did a vinegar rinse with apple cider vinegar to adjust the pH of the dye/hair and to further seal the cuticle. The pictures attached are the results of this go with the dye. (If I remember to do so, I'll update this review with photos of what my hair looks like after a couple days.)All in all, I'm very pleased with this and how easy it is to add a bit of sass without much work and minimal damage to my hair.

Great stuff
I have been using this hair dye for about a year and I love it. I do have a few tips to help new buyers:1. It is rather thin, so I mix it with a thick hair treatment/conditioner at about a 1:2 ratio and use a dye brush to apply. Without the conditioner, I prefer applying small amounts with my fingers instead of using a brush for precision.2. Speaking of fingers, wear gloves. It stains your hands for a day or two.3. If you are doing sections of hair rather than the whole head, do take the time to make clear parts and secure the remaining hair away from the section to be dyed. It bleeds a bit, especially if not mixed with thick conditioner. You might be told to keep it away from the roots, but I like to start my dye at the roots. It also catches other nearby hairs with surprising aggression if they are not clipped away tightly.4. Along the same lines, keep a sink full of warm water and a junk towel there while you are applying the dye so if you make a mistake, you can dip your fingers or the corner of the towel in the water and spot-rinse the unwanted dye without soaking any other hair and causing a color bleed. Keep part of the towel dry so you can wipe excess water from your fingers and head.5. It can be rinsed almost immediately. Cold water is best for avoiding bleeding and for sealing the color in. It will last a good month, getting gradually lighter over time.6. Very important for blondes: after having this dye on your hair, it is very likely that any other dye you use on the same area, even after the pink has faded, will turn your hair the wrong color, like teal green instead of blonde in my case. My solution is to mix bleach x1, medium blonde dye x2-3 with equal parts developer. I have also had success with just the dye and more developer than suggested. I use Schwartzkopf professional color products. The End

Gritty rancid product sold
I always buy Manic Panic from Amazon and has never disappointed except today. I bought New Rose and the consistency was super gritty with black grits that looked like dirt. I put it on my hair and waited 2 hrs to wash off and there was ABSOLUTELY NO COLOR ON MY HAIR WHATSOEVER! I dont know it its gone bad or what the problem was but it was a total waste. So disappointed!

Does not stay in hair
It's been hit and miss with manic panic, but I keep coming back for more because of the vibrancy of the colors when they work properly. This one washed out completely without leaving a trace that it was ever in my daughters super blond hair.

Helpful Tips!
The dye is great, but the color that you see here isn't really how it looks your hair. For me, at least, it turned out kind of purple/pink.Also, I've noticed that with other colors of this brand, the others take longer. I keep my red hair dye in my hair for about 20 minutes, but I keep this one in for about 10. It all depends on how light/bright or dark you want it, so you can play around with how long you keep it in your hair before rinsing it out.

Pretty in Pink
I mixed this with a little conditioner to thicken the product and left it on my hair, under a shower cap, for about 3 hours, then rinsed it out under COLD water. It does lighten every time you wash your hair, but each shade has been very pretty. I love that it didn't damage my already color treated hair. The blonde highlights I have took the most color and look the brightest. My natural brown roots have a subtle pink hue. I definitely recommend gloves, as it will dye your skin. The photo is from the day after I dyed my hair.
