Loved the color :) Vibrant pinkish-red on previously dyed copper red hair!
So for some reason I never took a picture of my hair when I dyed it with this, otherwise I'd add it. I had originally dyed my hair copper red with John Frieda's Deep Copper Canyon dye. That stuff was pretty rough on my hair though, so I decided to try using this over top of it for something more vibrant yet not damaging. Normally you're supposed to bleach first, but I didn't want anything quite as extreme as this over bleach blonde hair, so I figured the damage from just having dyed it would let the dye absorb enough for it to stick around for a while, and it definitely did. It was still pretty vibrant (though definitely faded quite a bit) a month later when I colored my hair with a permanent dye. Also, I have longish hair and it's pretty thick (my hair length is about down to my bra clasp in the back) and I used one entire 4oz jar. I don't really think you'd need more than that unless you have really long hair or unless your hair is really damaged and will absorb more of the dye. The color is vibrant and it came out as a kind of pinkish red (everything that this stained turned pink, so it's not hard to see why). When I first did it, I thought my hair looked more like a dark magenta than red, but everyone else said it was red, so I trust their judgment. Also, for those who work in a business environment, I got a lot of comments on how vibrant my hair was (comparisons to Ariel were common), but it wasn't too crazy, though I guess that could depend on how conservative your office environment is. I work at a conservative Christian school, but it's still a university, so my hair was pretty tame compared to the students who have pink and blue hair. I just wish they allowed that of their employees :( A few warnings though: 1. It bleeds a lot. You should use an old pillowcase when sleeping and old towels when drying your hair. Also, I recommend even wearing an old t-shirt or something when letting it air dry at least after the first few washings because it did stain one of my old hoodies a bit where it dried (if your hair's short though you probably don't need to worry about it). 2. It stains your skin. Definitely use vaseline or something if you're worried about that, but it does wash off after a few days. 3. It's not so good on virgin hair. I had about 3/4" of roots when I died and while at first it stained the roots fairly well, after maybe a week or two they were pretty much completely back to the natural color. Not a big deal for me, but I would NOT recommend using this dye on virgin hair and expect it to stick around for very long. It might depend on your hair type though, so others could have better results than me (my natural hair is golden brown and thick). Ultimately I decided not to keep using the dye just because it would be too much hassle to have to keep coloring my roots with a permanent color and then using this over top of it and I don't want to mess with full on bleaching my hair at the moment (plus I have a feeling if I bleached it, I'd wind up needing to go with vampire red or something to get away with it at work). I rated it 5 stars though because it does what it says and it's a good vibrant color. I wound up going with Ion creme in 7IR which on my hair was roughly the same shade as a more faded (yet still vibrant red) version of this, so it was a good compromise. Plus I like that with the permanent color I don't really have to worry about all the bleeding except after the first wash or two. This color was still bleeding after one month (on that note though, washing with Johnson's baby shampoo really helps get a lot of the color out if anyone needs help removing this color to dye with something else).

Finally, a Red That Pops!
I am obsessed with Manic Panic Rock โnโ Roll Red! The color is vibrant, bold, and exactly what I wantedโitโs the perfect mix of fiery red and deep ruby tones. The formula is easy to apply, creamy, and doesnโt leave my hair feeling crunchy or damaged. Even after multiple washes, the color stays bright and gorgeous longer than I expected. Iโve gotten so many compliments, and itโs such a fun way to express myself. Highly recommend this dye for anyone who wants a statement red that truly pops!

Concerts or just straight up rebellion.
When I knew one of my favorite bands was coming into town, I didn't hesitate to buy a bleach kit and hair dye. Unfortunately, the hair dye I bought didn't live up to the vibrancy on the box and it completely washed out even after I followed the instructions and let it cure itself for the 30 mins to an hour. Knowing my hair was basically pink instead of red, I decided that I was going to go with the tried and true manic panic and dye this strip of pink into the red it was supposed to be. Needless to say, Manic Panic delivers (I've tried their products before and have mixed atomic blue with their white pastel to turn it into an almost green/turquoise color). The beauty of semi-permanent hair dye is just that, it'll wash away gradually, which means you can either dye your hair another color or just reapply the coloring you already have. Obviously for longer hair you'll probably need more, and for darker hair a bleach kit might be necessary to get the vibrancy you want. As far as the color goes, I can say that if you apply heat it's going to turn out more shockingly bright than if you don't. So if you're looking for subtle, I say don't go with any heat, if you're not than go ahead and apply it. Nonetheless, it works for what I needed it for and I know that it'll wash out in a couple of weeks before I either need to dye my hair its natural color or go ahead and dye it red again. Though if you're looking for a quick dye job or looking to spruce your hair back into crazy colors, I wouldn't hesitate to buy some.

So beautiful!!
Heres some before and after photos!! I mixed one of these with a thing of vampire red, and it turned out so good!!! Didnt stain my shower, only a little on my sink (which was my fault lol). I left my mixture on for about 3 hours and my hair isnt fried or anything. Highly recommend!!!

Good but tiny.
The color is lovely and bright even on unbeached hair, but the bottle is tiny and doesn't full cover my shoulder-length hair, it would require at least 2 jars.

This is a temp color, not perma.! Please don't say this color doesn't last, that's how it suppose to be!
This color is so RED! I have short hair so every time I only use about 1/5 of jar. My hair was bleached and had perm. red hair dye that I have to re-apply every 4 weeks. I use this in between dye so the red doesn't fade as bad. Red color fades so quickly. Even when you wash with cold water and use red shampoo, they will fade a little with every wash. I wash my hair almost daily, so imagine the pain. Before I use Manic Panic, I use purple shampoo to get rid of the brass build up on my hair. I put purple shampoo on dry hair, let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinse and dry. Don't use conditioner if you are going to dye your hair after. Then I put Manic Panic on my hair, use finger to rub them on hair instead of combing. I let it sit for 2 hours, heat up your hair every 30 minutes, then wash dye off with lukewarm water, or as cold as you can take. I wouldn't recommend using really cold water because it will give me a headache and it's really uncomfortable. This dye will completely fade around 10~14 wash. I don't always wash my hair with cold water and I do wash my hair everyday. So this is pretty outcome.

Very vibrant colour
Fantastic product. My hair is naturally black but I had it bleached in Dec 2020. The red started to fade out and went a horrible colour. I used the manic panic Rock n roll red. I looked at some YouTube videos and some users said that it's best to mix the dye with a conditioner because it helps with the application. The manic panic hair dye is really thick and hard to apply. To get over this I mixed it with an olaplex condioner. My hair is up to my waist and I mixed half a tub with about 4table spoons of conditioner and applied it to dry hair. I wrapped my hair with a plastic carrier bag and left it on for about 30 mins. I washed and styled it as normal and I love the results. The colour is so vibrant and my hair feels so soft.

Amazing quality and vibrance of color
Got two of these in case one wasn't enough, and I ended up completely using both of them. Color was very vivid and bright right after (I had bleached hair already) and faded only a little by the next wash. I love it so much and will definitely buy again in the same color. Formula is great and good for sensitive scalp like mine. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try out semi-permanent color. Only thing is that the bottle is a LOT smaller than expected. I have hair down to my shoulders/collarbones and it would only be enough for one side of my hair. Other than that, am super happy with results.

Brilliant
I dyed my hair with Rock n roll Red with little hope that it would cover my balayage brown to copper hair. The copper from my hair had faded and was almost back to a blonde colour on the ends which has helped the red stand out on the ends of my hair, the rest of my hair is a lovely deep red and it wasn't difficult to remove the excess dye from bath or my skin. Better than using what I've used before for semi perm dyes. I only used 1 tub as I didn't realise you're meant to use 2 for my hair but I have thin hair so it did cover really well, so I'm pleased with the results
