Traditional Butter Dish White Ceramic Classic 2 Piece Design

Was looking for a butter dish, so hard, as reviews say either too small or something. This one when I got it, fits a small 250g block very easily, nearly two, but if course not quite- you could easily fit larger block in there. Nice looking dish and solid.

This is a great butter dish, larger than I expected. Good quality and very good value for money.

This is a heavy, good sized butter dish, and serves it's purpose well. It accommodates a block of butter easily. The reason I dropped a star is because the lid is heavier than you would expect (good) and the handle to lift it is small and round (bad) so that it is not easy to grip it. We often need to lift it by the lid rather than use the handle. Still a good buy though.

Sadly, the lovely butter dish arrived with the bottom part broken - no fault of the seller as it was securely wrapped and should have arrived safely. I contacted the seller and was delighted today to receive a replacement. It arrived safely and I will enjoy using it. It has a lovely, traditional look and is nice and roomy, so any size of butter will fit easily into it. I was not so sure about the sizes of some others I looked at.Because it is white and not coloured or patterned, it will look at home for any type of meal from kitchen table breakfasts to guests for dinner and the best china. Kudos to the seller for great customer relations.

Brought to replace the one I dropped on marble counter. Keeps the butter well covered and cool.

This butter dish is very pretty, and certainly very strudy, but it is designed really weirdly. It is SUPER heavy, and very wide. The little knob at the top is supposed to be a handle to lift the lid, but it is way too small to put your fingers around to lift such a heavy lid. It really needs an open D-shaped handle, that you can stick your whole hand in. The only way to lift the lid is to put your entire hand around it, and not even bother with the handle. But the problem with that is, the lid is sooooo heavy, and soooo wide, if you have smallish hands like I do, you are likely to have to use both hands just to take off the lid. Honestly, although it looks very pretty in my kitchen, and is certainly very sturdy, I wish I hadn't bought it, as it's so impractical to use.

I know its a butter dish but I wanted one for cheese as its a good size also appears quite robust, just a shame the knob is not slightly bigger for the weight. Reasonably priced too.
