Pure fun!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. From beginner to advanced, these foils are pure fun. So much fun I had to get all three! The bigger the kite, the more it pulls in stronger winds. Fast, maneuverable and easy to fly. I crashed my 140 lots of times while I was learning to fly and this kite just kept bouncing back. The quality is top notch and I find them hard to beat. Let the kids start out with the 140 and they'll be wanting more.

Strings Tangle Nightmare
Read the reviews - everything said it was easy to use for a first timer and was convenient for anyone looking to get into kite flying. Even read reviews with kids using this.I'm no genius but I participate in martial arts, extreme sports, run my own business and consider myself capable of handling most things I set my mind to.That didn't matter with this kite because unfortunately whoever put it together sent it to us already tangled up. The blue and red lines were crossed into eachother where it connected to the kite. This made it impossible to fly. As it would go up and then instantly turn hard one direction and crash down.Once we got that part untangled and spooled all the string out we quickly learned that was a huge mistake. The string they chose may be capable of handling the stress but it is absolutely the worst possible string to use.If the string runs up against itself it curves and knots instantly. Any friction and you've got knots. It quickly turns to a mess that takes hours to get undone.I've spent the majority of the time I had today on the first day using the kite untangling a mess of knots in one of the two lines. You may read this and think - well don't let it tangle. Know how to handle lines. Well let me put it this way - I Spearfish and let line out attached to a fish underwater with gear and a fish swimming hard for its life and I've had less problems than I had with this like today.Whoever owns this company should consider upgrading to something braided.

I had a blast with this kite
I have had a couple of duel line kites as a kid. They all sucked. They were overly complex to set up or when I did get them up I would end up crashing them breaking the spines or any number of things that broke. I took this kite out many time so. I love that everything is already attached and ready to go right out of the bag. The first was at a park that did not have enough wind to fly. The next was at a beach that had some nice 10-15 mph winds and I actually got it up in the air. I have only flown single line kites without destroying them. You hold the string and the kite goes up. Strait forward if there is enough wind so, before I flew this kite I watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to control and handle a duel line kite. Using what I learned from YouTube so I don’t drag it on the ground and wear everything faster then needed. I practiced doing some simple tricks like figure eights and exploring the wind envelope. I crashed it a couple of times but since it does not have any spines nothing happened and I just reset and sent it back up. Once I went a few minutes of not crashing I started doing some spins and dive bombs and again crashed it a few more times. I spent like two hours that first day having fun with my new kite and I loved every moment of it. Flying this kite made me want to get all the sizes of Synapse kites and try some other kites as well. This kite is definitely fun to play with and can’t really break if you crash it. I’ve been having so much fun I even got there 20 foot tube tail to add some flair to my kite. So if you want something to begin with check this kite out.

A fun and relaxing way to enjoy a windy day
I’ve flown two string delta kites before, and single string parafoil kites. I wanted a stunt kite that would pack up small for our trip to Puerto Rico. After reading reviews on here and goingneirh my gut, I ordered the smallest version of this kite - the “cilantro” or 140 size kite. It packs up really small - smaller than our single string parafoil. Pure and simple - I love this kite. It flies really well. It does need a good breeze - flying it at the beach was perfect. It’s a lot of fun doing spins, figure 8s, dives and cutting a horizontal line just above the ground. It also recovers well - once in a while it would catch a cross breeze and collapse on one side, but it would turn a little, inflate again and fly off. And even if you crash it, if you’re at the beach anyhow, just flip it so the bridle is facing up, put some sand along the bottom edge, pick up the handles and give it a strong tug as you step backwards and it will launch right into the air.My only complaint is that the line on one side was considerably longer than the other, causing it to turn right unless I held one handle back a lot. The instructions explain how to adjust the lines though and it’s an easy fix.

Sadly I realized I'm just not a kite person.
To be honest I have never been able to keep a kite in the air. I live in Oregon and go to the coast multiple times per year. Bought this kite hoping I could finally fly a kite. The day I tried using it the winds were up to 20 mph but apparently not consistent so the kite would not stay up very long. I guess the plus side is who wants to be at the beach with constant wind. I gave it 4 stars because I feel like it was mainly operator error and seemed to be good quality. Deducted 1 star because instead of impressing everyone with my savvy kite skills I looked like an idiot running around with the kite bouncing off the ground. Seems like a great deal since nearly identical kites sell for 3x at the kite shops. Sadly I realized I'm just not a kite person.

An Absolutely Amazing Kite To Have Fun With
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is such an amazing kite. It is the first one I have used that I have no problem with and this video is of my second time with it. It really is easy to use. There was another video taken bu only of my face whilst flying it - I smiled so much that my jaw ached the following day. My chest and stomach muscles also got a proper work out as it was a blowy day. I love this kite so much that I have bought my sister one and my partner one for their Christmas.....

Great foil for windy days
This is the third kite I get from Prism. It is excellently built, easy to setup and very easy to carry and pack: we can go everywhere with it and fly it in minutes. It is a two line and therefore lets you do stunts and maneuvers so it is great fun. However, it can be frustrating if you do not have somewhat steady wind; we had the most fun on a day in which the wind was at the limit of the specs (and what fun it was!!). I have both this one and the Jazz and I would say I prefer the Jazz overall as when the wind dies off the Jazz frame will give you time to recover it whereas the Synapse just goes slack. Having said that, this one is totally easy to setup/pack and you never end up looking for lost straddles as it is frameless. So, a different experience altogether, I am very happy having both Jazz and Synapse and would be curious to try the bigger Synapse sails for the thrill...

Brilliant well priced kite
Very easy to lay out before take off. 2 persons required for best results first time. Easy to control when in the air. Daughter who is 11 loves it and can control for long periods with ease.

Great kite for beginners.
Right out of the bag this kite is great. Really responsive but forgiving for beginners having heavy hands.
