Looks as if it will do the job
Looks and feels fine. I hope I will never need to find out if it's fireproof but as the advert says, it gives you extra minutes.

Let's Be Realistic, Shall We?
As a flame resistant document holder, this is fine, and I'm sure it will give your important papers a few minutes grace, during which you can rescue them unharmed, from amidst the flames of a newly started house fire. The issue I have are unrealistic expectations, and the risk of being lulled into a false sense of security. According to the current listing, this wallet is "fire proof" and able to withstand temperatures of 4,200 degrees Fahrenheit (2,315 degrees centigrade) For reference, that's way hotter than the melting point of steel, and more than the ablative heat shields had to contend with during re-entry of the NASA space shuttle. I used to sell fire resistant safes, and I can tell you for a fact that anything left inside this thin flexible wallet will be burned to a cinder if you subject the wallet to those kind of temperatures for more than a handful of seconds. The stuff I used to sell was rated to various temperatures for a certain number of minutes, and backed up by testing and certification, provided with each individually numbered item sold. It was expensive stuff, and if you wanted a safe that could come out the other side of a building burning down, and still have the contents intact amidst the ash and rubble,, you needed to spend a significant chunk of money on a large metal box with very thick walls filled with intumescent material and non combustible insulation. Heat transfer is as much a risk as contact with flame. That's why this thin wallet with a zip closure at the top is far less capable than you might want to believe. Is this wallet useful? Yes, it will give your documents a scant few minutes protection from flame spread. Grab it and run if your house catches fire. Leave it in the fire, and you'll most likely lose the contents.

Excellent fireproof bag for important documens
I have been thinking of getting something like this for a while now. I worry about what would happen if the worst thing happens and a fire consumes important documents, especially legal documents such as wills and powers of attorney. This little bag is excellent - not too bulky, but larger than A4 size, and will fit items such as wills, powers of attorney, passports, spare keys, jewellery, phones etc. It is very tactile and soft - not at all what I was expecting, and obviously is very well padded with the important fireproof materials which will keep everything safe inside. Obviously I have not checked the company's statements about fireproofing, but short of setting fire to it I have to assume that their statements are correct. I am intending to put this inside a tin with other valuables, and now may even invest in a larger fireproof box so I can fit more inside. If you are keeping this separate in a cupboard, it is a very good idea that it has the big yellow reflective strip on the outside so you can find it easily in the dark if you have time to take it with you in an emergency. I am really pleased with the quality of this bag, and think that it is good value at the current price of just under £18, less at the moment as there is a 20% promotional discount.

Fireproof document holder for peace of mind
This fireproof document bag feels strong and durable, with a good zip and thick padding. It looks like it’s fit for purpose - you do have to take their word for it that it’ll withstand fire or flood long enough to retrieve it safely and it’s certainly got to be better than no protection at all. The fluorescent strip on the front is a good idea so it can be located quickly should the worst happen. I’m using it to store wills, passports, certificates and other particularly important documents in. It’s definitely something worth having for peace of mind.

Great protection
The obvious limitation with a review like this is that you can never know for sure how it works without leaving it in a raging fire, which seems like a step too far. All I can say is that it feels well made with a similar outer material to another document bag I ordered some time ago. This looks better though, because it has a thicker rubberised texture with strong internal padding that won’t split or tear. The zip area is covered as well offering further protection, which was an obvious weak point with the other one. It also opens wide to put a good number of documents in there. It will comfortably fit A4 sheets, but also items like passports, documents, keys and the rest. The luminous green stipe makes it easy to spot as well.
