They advised me to get a nickel testing kit. Back then, that meant a jar you kept at home. When that expired, I searched & found this option. I can keep one of these in my purse, so if I see something that I want at one of those stores w/ a no return policy, I can know right there if it's OK for me. Also more convenient than returning, but has also saved me from many "bad" purchases on websites that don't answer the question. This tells me in a minute. My only complaint is that the glass is hard to break for me.
