Delivered quickly. Fits my camera as the description implied it would and can be charged outside of the camera body which will be handy for me. As yet it’s unused so cannot comment on that.

Been using this for over 6 months. I bought the other colour version over a year ago. They've been holding up well in use but best of all they make charging so much more convenient when on holiday or away. Being able to standardise around USB-C for charging my phone and other devices, including these camera batteries is great! The Nikon battery charger is so bulky and awkward shape for packing in luggage. I have used some 3rd party more compact charging in the past, but these batteries are just so convenient. They even mean that I could recharge from a power-bank if I needed to in an emergency. I no longer need a micro-USB lead in case I need to do any recharging in the camera, it's a nice workaround for Nikon's poor choice of micro-USB rather than USB-C

It's a battery. Charge it and it powers your camera... However what makes this rise above the rest is the built in USB C charging port and light. Brilliant! No more bulky battery chargers, I can charge this and another battery in-camera simultaneously from 2 USB cables. Last time I charged this one I did it in the car whilst driving around Snowdonia. What a game changer - I no longer have battery anxiety and only need to carry one spare to use while the other charges. I've also recharged it quickly from a 20,000mah power bank whilst camping. Brilliant.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars I shoot with a Nikon Z50 and the original EN-EL25 battery is fine, but the charging situation has always been a mild irritation. Nikon's own charger is a bulky brick that takes up a disproportionate amount of space in a bag, and charging via the camera body's micro-USB port is painfully slow. The SmallRig solves both of these problems at once and I am not sure why I waited as long as I did to buy one. The USB-C charging port built directly into the battery is the entire point of this product and it works exactly as described. I charged this from the same GaN charger I use for my laptop and phone, and it was full in under two hours. I have also charged it from a power bank mid-shoot, which is a genuinely liberating capability when you are out for the day and do not want to carry the charger. The Nikon charger now lives in a drawer. Capacity is 1250mAh against the original's 1120mAh, so a marginal improvement on paper and in practice. One reviewer tested this against the original in 4K recording and found the SmallRig ran about 10 per cent longer, which tracks. I cannot feel any meaningful difference in day-to-day shooting, but it certainly does not fall short of the original. The camera reads the battery without any warning or compatibility message, which is not guaranteed with third-party alternatives and was a genuine concern before purchasing. One minor issue worth flagging, confirmed by at least two reviewers including myself: the green LED indicating a full charge does not always illuminate reliably. The indicator goes red during charging, which is fine, but does not consistently switch to green when done. I now charge from a power bank that cuts off automatically when current draw stops, which works neatly around this. One reviewer also notes a fit issue with the Zfc specifically, so Zfc owners should check other sources before committing. On the Z50 there is no such problem. At the discounted price, this is an easy recommendation for any Z50 or Z30 owner.

Despite all the positive reviews this battery does not fit the Nikon Z fc, it is slightly too long preventing the battery retaining clip from working to hold the battery in place.

Purchased this, SMALLRIG EN-EL25 1250mAh Camera Battery for my Z30 as a spare. Out of the box, charged it via its usb-c socket. Fully charged in no time. In camera, works fine, camera recognised the battery as it should. In use. Its hard to tell if it lasts longer than the Nikon original, it's definitely equal if not a bit longer I think. Major reason I bought this is that you have numerous ways to re-charge it. All in all this is a good purchase.

Creo que es una buena alternativa a la original, no he notado diferencia en la duración entre ambas. Que puedas cargarla mientras la tienes en la mochila me parece una gran idea, es algo que debería llevar la Original, en este punto es una mejora considerable. Hay muchas baterías compatibles para la Z50/Z30, pero creo que esta es la mejor, de una marca reconocida y encima se puede cargar por USB.

La uso como batería adicional para mi Nikon Z30 desde hace varios meses y me ha funcionado muy bien. Su rendimiento es muy similar al de la batería original; en sesiones continuas de fotografía de poco más de 3 horas ha respondido sin problemas. La primera carga tardó aproximadamente 6 horas, pero las posteriores han sido de alrededor de hora y media. Me gusta especialmente que se pueda cargar directamente por USB-C, sin necesidad de un cargador externo. Hasta ahora, muy buena experiencia. La volvería a comprar.

I was a bit sceptical to use a 3rd party battery at first, but you can't go wrong with the Smallrig EN-EL25. I have bought as second battery pack for my Nikon Zfc and it works absolutely great. The USB-C connector makes it my main battery pack and after it runs down low during a fun long day of shooting, I connect it with my power bank in my backpack. This way, combined with original battery pack, I basically have 3 battery packs on me. I even think this battery has a little more power than the original one from Nikon. Great product!
