The boom arm I received is a Samson MBA38, rather than the auray model shown in the picture. I noticed this same arm in the picture of another recent review, so they may have changed the included arm without updating the listing. This boom arm does not include an integrated XLR cable, not an issue in my case, as other reviews claim it was low quality anyways, but definitely worth noting that despite the description stating "Two-Section Broadcast Arm with Internal Springs and Integrated XLR Cable" You may still need to purchase a separate XLR cable.

**Q: Does this mic require phantom power?**
A: No, it would not need phantom power if the audio interface you're connecting it to can supply enough, ~60 db, of clean gain to the microphone. If you're interface cannot, then you may need to connect something like a cloudlifter, or fethead, which would require phantom power, however.

**Q: If the shock mount is a ssm-bc10 microphone suspension shock mount why are you showing the electro-voice 309-a?**
A: I’m not sure about the specific model numbers, but i have this package and can assure you that all the parts here play nice together.

**Q: What brand of mic cable comes with the bundle?**

Very satisfied with the quality of the microphone itself. The boom arm I received is a Samson MBA38, rather than the auray model shown in the picture.
