Do your brain a favour, it will thank you for it!
A few of points I would like to make for people who are hesitating on the price.Firstly, a Mind Machine is a unique self improvement/drug-free altered state experience unlike anything else available. Only you can say how much value you place on a way to experience a state of mind that is unlike anything else in normal reality, but to me that's almost pricelessSecondly, this entire Kasina bundle costs around a third of the price of a top-of-the-range Smartphone. I'm confident in saying a Mind Machine will do your brain a lot more good than a Smartphone...Finally, yes the user-interface of this device might look out-of-date compared to the latest wireless touch-screen goodies we are all used to. Honestly, though, it just doesn't matter - a singing bowl could be thought of as out-of-date, but surely it's the experience itself that counts. And honestly, the experience is truly worthwhile.Enjoy!

Pricey but very well conceived and made
I wanted to use this to experiment with 40 Hz optical and aural stimulation following the exciting results of using this to reverse Alzheimer's in mice. It is a massive improvement on the monochrome and two colour so-called 'light and machines' of old, and is also a useful recreational tool and aid to meditation. I found that the Ganzfeld goggles didn't work for me, as keeping my eyes open through a session was tiring: I much preferred the standard goggles.

Blimey! It is good!
Great bit of kit - whilst I'm no guru when it comes to all of that meditation business, I find this machine extremely useful for helping me relax after stressful days, or perk me up a bit when I'm about to commence studying. The MindArt sessions are rather nice too, feels quite trippy! :)The price of the kit itself (at the time I ordered it) is a tad on the high side if you are looking to take a gamble with it, but that is exactly what I did and I believe it had paid off.Very happy with it, and I have barely scratched the surface in terms of features and various sessions. Looking forward to getting into it more and have a look at this meditation stuff.

Would not be without it
I have suffered severe insomnia for years and about a year ago started daily meditation to help reduce my stress levels. I was therefore very intrigued by the concept after hearing the legendary Frank Zane talk about using it regularly as part of his lifestyle and training. It did seem expensive to try on the off chance and I ummed ansd ahhhed over it for a few months. Until finally deciding to give it ago backed by the 30 day amazon trial.I have to say that it has not helped me (yet) in the sleep department. However, I am so glad that I did try it as it is a really nice experience on the right programmes. I prefer the quieter and more relaxing programmes like the roaring fire which I now do instead of a meditation session. I find it really helpful in the middle of the working day even if to just dive in for a quick 10 min recharge. I was doing this with my meditations but sometimes when I am very stressed, I find it very hard to focus on just my breath etc. This is great because it allows me to be more passive and just let the glasses do it for me.The 30 day amazon trial is now up and there is no way anybody is parting me from my Kasina! I so look forward to my daily session and a little bit of “me” time.I had one issue which Mind place rectified immediately and so can fully recommend their customer service. Thanks Guys!My only reason for giving it 4 stars is that I am not entirely convinced on the robustness of the kit and how long it will last especially with regular use. I also wish the headphones had been blue tooth so less cables to worry about. If it lasts a decent amount of time I may come back and change the rating.

A Real Waste of money
I purchased a new unused Kasina that was faulty from the get go.I contacted Amazon and they were happy to replace it or refund me but I had severe health issues at that time and I simply forgot to send it back.I recently took it out again and tried it and it seemed to work okay for only a few days and just stopped working. If would work a few times and then the menu screen would go completely blank so that it was impossible to select a meditation program. Each time it went blank (even though it was fully charged) I’d have to lose 2 or 3 days discharging it and after recharging it and a lot of messing about connecting it to my laptop, it would work again but only each and every time for a few sessions only and then go blank again. When it happens, the Kasina is just a bit of useless, unusable plastic junk.I got zero help from anyone on their forum? so I recently reached out to their support, which initially appeared to be interested in helping but that now seems like they’re not too eager and I’m awaiting for support to let me know what to do next, as I’ve already boxed it ready to send to them. Many members seem to have ongoing issues with the Kasina Mindplace that include a lot of issues with updating it with the latest firmware. My Kasina has only been used a few times over about 3-4 weeks overall and is in physically immaculate condition - albeit faulty and unusable. But I’m getting the impression that if to they decide to have their fixer guy replace it here in the UK, that it’s likely to only be a reconditioned one - that BTW, doesn’t fit right with me.Anyway, I’ll just have to see if they keep their word and replace it.I sent receipts etc to them but I notice the tone of his latest reply seemed off and I got the feeling he wasn’t keen on replacing it and at best would do it under protest. So, I guess I’ll just have to wait and see. When it works, it seems okay but to me (and some others) it’s backwards tech because it only connects to the goggles and earphones using wired connections, that is nothing short of a pain and a real nuisance. It’s difficult to not get the wires tangled up and pulled out of their connections because you can’t see anything with the goggles on.I really believe that by now that they should have redesigned the Kasina with wireless connections.Personally I wish I hadn’t purchased it because of the issues I’ve had with it and to have had only about 3 weeks on and off use and that cost me a whopping £360.00 which is to me at least 2-3 times more than it’s worth, is definitively not worth it.I would not buy this again and would not recommend it, as I believe there much better ways to meditate and better gadgets to use for meditation.
