I don't really know why we are asked to review items of necessity to keeping one's aquarium operating. I mean it is not like I purchased this part for fun! I purchased it in order to keep my sanity! As many of you fellow aquarium owner/operators can attest, is the annoyance of a LOUD aquarium pump! And that is exactly the correct description once one of these impeller assembly suckers do, and they will, trust me, when they start failing! Sure they will keep pumping & filtering, but it will get louder & louder! Thanks to good 'ol Amazon Prime, their easy navigating site in locating the correct par, and my preference AquaClear , and it arriving at my door step in less than 48 hrs. I now know it is the impeller assembly "shaft!" which oddly enough does not come with! You actually have to order the shaft separately! My advice, just get both, you will always use it somewhere down the road, or get a new motor all together! I have nothing bad to say about AquaClear's products, been using them for years! High five AquaClear!!!

I had an aquaclear 110 for several years when a snail went inside and destroyed the peace and quiet and I had enjoyed before. I wasn't sure what had happened and I tried cleaning it, taking it apart and nothing seemed to work. I talked to my sister who had the same problem before and she told me that often just replacing the impeller shaft and the impeller(if needed) will fix the problem. Without a doubt I was willing to give this a shot.I ordered both and was glad a reviewer had mentioned using the pliers to remove the original impeller shaft as it was a bit tough to pull. Putting in the new one was also a little tricky because I didn't want to bend it. The first time I pushed it in, I didn't quite have it all the way so it made the same grinding sound. I took it apart and sure enough it needed to push in just a little further. After that it has been quiet just like new.

Just got got this today on February 23, 20 at 14:00, an EXACT product and fitment! Thanks! Now I'm waiting on the shaft that goes with this from another seller, to bad this seller doesn't have the shaft on hand, but, it's okay. Still got products like this for a good reasonable price, compare to the hagen.com, will continue order from Amazon!
