Does this yeast have hold or platinum in it? Just checking because it seams very expensive.

In the grocery store where I live a 3 pack (.25 ounce each) is just short of $3. This is a pound (16 ounces = 64 packets) which would cost you ~$64. So actually this is a good value ONLY if it’s really available.

I just received my packages! Is supposed to be hard as a rock? Is it spoiled?

Yes. This item is vacuum packed and each package should arrived without the seal being broken. This item should arrive hard. Once you cut into the package it will release the vacuum pack and your yeast package will feel "normal"

Could you please tell me the expiration date?

I purchased and received my Fleischmann's Instant Yeast in November of 2013. The two bricks that I received came with an expiration date of April 2015. I hope that this helps you.

Yes, I use it every day. Mix 1/2 the total amount of flour, the water, some sugar and yeast and let rest for 20 minutes. Then add the rest of the flour, salt and oil. This for any yeast for best bread results!
