E-Z Play Today White Pages: E-Z Play Today Volume 316

This book is a great big book full of a lot of great songs. It is so big to use that I had mine cut in half and spiral bound at Office Depot.

Lots of music. Printed in newsprint quality. As advertised ; no surprise.Bought it for a few selections (still a bargain) and scan and print .Wish for same in electronic file for same price

A few years ago I purchased "150 of the Most Beautiful Songs Ever" for Easy Piano (Hal Leonard). I LOVE that book and I use it almost every day. I was hoping to find another book just like it, with lots of great old standards in pleasing arrangements that are somewhat challenging but not too daunting for an "early intermediate" adult player like me. I thought "E-Z Play Today 316 White Pages" (also published by Hal Leonard) would be just as good, maybe even better, because it contains more than twices as many songs. I couldn't wait until it arrived.Unfortunately, as soon as I opened it, I realized it was not at all what I expected, and not the book for me. Even though it states right on the cover that it's a "collection of E-Z Play Today arrangements," the songs are not arrangements at all. It's actually a fake book, which contains the melody line, basic chords, and lyrics (minimal information needed by seasoned musicians to make up impromptu arrangements). In other words, there's no bass clef, nothing for my left hand to do other than play the chords. Furthermore, every melody line is written in the key of C, and the notes are big and each note contains a letter to indicate which note it is on the staff. These features won't help me improve my playing.I'm not saying that this is a bad book, it just is not what I had in mind. If it had been possible to peek inside on the Amazon site, I would not have ordered the book. As far as I can tell, there was nothing in the description or the reviews that would have clued me in, and the publishers' use of the word "arrangements" was very misleading. I think, as a general rule, the peek inside feature should always be available for music books on Amazon, so that a buyer can determine if the level is appropriate.

It was in great condition. Easy to read. Easy to use. I like it.

Wonderful collection of songs and so easy to play.

White pages is great so many songs to play.

We own a Lowrey organ and my husband and I both play at different levels. He has played for years and I'm a beginner but we find that with 330 songs of all types, there is something for each of us to enjoy in it. It's a very good music book!

just received a second copy of this book and still have pages flip. It is better than the first one received, however, that leaves a few songs that will be difficult to play with the pages been flip./ Very dissapointed

thick book and paper is really thin. Full of old songs not sure I would have brought it if I'd seen it in a shop

Great book. Well. Pleased..

I am working my way through this very large book. The pages are a bit flimsy so have to be careful when turning. There is quite a large section in the book that has been printed the wrong way up so I have to turn the book upside down. Not ideal.

Just what I want from a music book. Large characters and easy to read chords as I am just a beginner and can't read music properly yet

Brilliant book. Easy to follow and play with hundreds of popular songs.
