At Last, A Book As Good As The Reviews
This is a fantastic collection of information that is too interesinting to be dismissed as merely trivia! From the moment I sat down to read it, I was mesmerized until hours later when I closed the last page, broken-hearted that there wasn't more of it to read and experience! I consider myself an educated man, at the very least, one who is proudly well-read, (and not just the funny pages in the newspaper!) But this book truly does lead you to honestly remark aloud,"Holy cow! I didn't know that!" I reacted to this terrific book on three different levels; First, It reintroduced me to many people, places and events that I had either forgotten about, took for granted or had never even considered before. Secondly, it took me back almost 70 years to Mrs. Ballard's hated elementay school endless history lectures! But now I will consistently dream happy fantasies of decades in the distant past walking back into History class carrying this awesome book under my arm and shouting out indignantly, "THAT'S NOT CORRECT, MRS. B!" with a newly-found, self-righteous confidence. Even after all this time, I'd be completely willing to risk getting smacked with "Old Lady Ballard's" ever-present yard stick, that she could swing like Willy Mays , particularly when she had a mouthy kid like me in her cross-hairs. (And I don't mean the hair on her upper lip!) Still. one of the things I most enjoyed most about Mr. O'Neill's book is the feeling that it was like hearing the stories from a friend and being introduced to people that He cared about. Whatever you do. please get this book for the delight it will bring to anyone you know who has a chance to read it! (If you haven't got the money, steal it!) Mrs. Ballad would be proud of you! Just keep a sharp eye out for the yardstick.

ok
The Book of General Knowledge Bombs by Bill O'Neill is an intriguing collection of facts and curiosities that certainly caters to those with a thirst for knowledge. The format is engaging, and the wide range of topics keeps the reader entertained. I appreciated the effort to compile such a diverse array of information, making it a fun read for trivia lovers. However, while some facts are fascinating, others felt a bit underwhelming or less impactful. The organization of the content could also use some improvement, as it sometimes felt scattered and hard to follow. Overall, it's a decent book for casual reading or as a unique gift, but it may not satisfy those looking for in-depth exploration of the topics presented.

Another great book.
My friends say I am full of trivia, although that is not the exact word they use. Bill O'Neill seems to proof read his books and he doesn't use profanity for emphasis. Nor does he use Jesus Christ as profanity. It is a joy to read his books.

There is more than just trivia in this book
I have read several of Bill O'Neill's earlier books and I consider this one to be one of his best. Each story is well written with good detail about historical people and/or events that I didn't know about and I consider myself pretty well read. I would sum up this book with two words: "Interesting Reading"!

This Is An Excellent Book With Interesting Information In It
This is an excellent book with interesting information in it. I enjoyed the book. I learned some information from this book that I did not know before reading this book. Some of the interesting information mentioned in this book by the author of this book includes the following information: Wyatt Earp went on to become a consultant for Western films in the early days of Hollywood. Carrots weren't originally orange. They were purple, white, or shades of blue. Most of the Earth's oxygen is produced in the ocean from marine plants. Even though they look light and fluffy, clouds weigh about a million tons because of all the water they contain.
