These are the same as the name brand expectorant just cost you less. This is the smaller dose ones so just be aware since the name brand goes up to 1200mg per tablet dosage. These work just the same but depending on the mg size of you name brand you will have to adjust the amount you take and the amount of times you take it. These are awful tasting, which is horrible because the texture and shape make them difficult to swallow. They got stuck on my tongue twice this morning and I nearly threw up before spitting them out and having the bitter taste in my mouth until I ate. I threw the rest of the bottle in the trash. Terrible.

takes about an hour before kicking in. i use it for my allergies. my throat feels like it sore and wants to close up on me due to mucas build up. my doctor said my throat looks angary and to use guaifensesin to help clear my throat. it does help. i use it with allegra. great stuff.

I take these daily on the advice of my Dr, which keeps my chest clear. These were a better deal than the brand I had been taking, so I thought I'd try it. They work as well as the pricier ones, but they taste awful! Very bitter! I have to take two, twice a day and I'm ready to resort to taking them with applesauce. I will finish these off since they do exactly what I need them to do, but I will go back to the ones I took before when these are gone.
