It works!!
This hair color is an absolute godsend. Before I discovered this product, I had two options: gray hair or SEVERELY damaged hair. I have very fine, fragile hair, and both drugstore box dyes and salon color completely wreck it. Yes I've tried all kinds of of oil-based color, deep conditioning, Olaplex #3, etc. Nothing works, my hair would break off 3-5 inches from the ends and I would feel my scalp burning for two weeks afterwards. I had pretty much given up until I found this product. I've now used it three times and I love it. Very good coverage and ZERO scalp burning or hair splitting. My hair feels actually healthier afterwards and I get less frizz. One thing to keep in mind. They have changed color names to "light", "brown" and "dark" whereas before they were called "light brown", "medium brown" and "dark brown". I think the new names set the wrong expectations. "Light" implies some shade of blond, and that's not what you are going to get with this color. Personally I think "medium brown", "dark brown" and "black" would be most accurate - but I could also see how perhaps someone with thicker hair would get lighter results. If you do have fine hair like me, I would recommend using a lighter shade - the first time I got this, I got the "dark" and it made my hair jet black, which looks aging unless you are super young with flawless skin. Another thing to keep in mind. If you want to do this at a salon - personally I'd rather eat sand than do my own hair - you will have a hard time finding a provider! Apparently most regular salons have contracts with cosmetic manufacturers and aren't allowed to use outside product. You will need to find an independent stylist that rents a chair - they do exist, you'll just need to call around. Heads up, if they are hesitant using an unfamiliar product, you can tell them that it has ZERO fumes or smell so it won't affect other clients or their respiratory health. I never write reviews this long but I love this product so much that I want to evangelize it. It's not like there are ANY other options for natural color that actually covers gray!! I am including photos so others can see how it turned out. The first photo is taken with my phone indoors, as you can see you don't see any grey. The second photo is taken with my husband's phone under direct sunlight (bright winter sun) and you do see a few greys but that's more to do with lighting and camera, I promise it's nowhere near that visible in normal light. For reference, I was 30-35% grey before.

A complete waste of time and money
Wish I could give this product zero stars! Setting aside the pre-treatment protocol over the course of a week, the application itself took hours - and though my hair is fine, not wiry, chemically untreated and only minimally grey (less than 10%, but in visible places), this didn't ungrey the greys. It also changed my hair color from a warm light brown to a very ugly, muddy shade of dark brown. The troubleshooting FAQ says the color may normalize somewhat over the next week or so...fingers crossed.

Love this Product! Bye-Bye gray, hello, again, natural hair color.
This works!!! Result is permanent color restoration that matches the rest of my hair exactly. So glad I stopped coloring my hair and used this, instead. I will never color my hair again. It's messy to use and stains, so wear old clothes and put down rags or old towels on the floor and countertops. Follow the instructions on hair prep and usage exactly for great results the first time.

It worked for me
I got the restorer plus in brown. I did it myself. It worked, its been 2 months and it still covers my greys. It is permanent. It took about 3-4 hours. I do have new growth but it doesnt have a harsh line. I think its worth it because there is no smell, no burning, and it worked. I did use clarifying shampoo several times during the week before. Also, the night before I used clarifying shampoo and no oils or conditioner. I put it on dry hair the next day. My hair was very dried out, so after the whole process I did a hair mask. It looks natural now, looks better than regular dye. At first it was very dark but it slowly lightened to dark brown. The only thing I found deceptive was the fact that is does contain hydrogen peroxide. I thought it had nothing reactive in it but I noticed it felt a little familiar. If you look closely on the box ingredients, hydrogen peroxide is listed in the toner. I was shocked since they dont have this anywhere on the page, only listed a few natural ingredients and nothing about hydrogen peroxide which does have a reaction for some people. I felt my hair was not weakened as much as regular dye but I did feel like I needed a lot of hair masks to get it back to normal condition. Not as natural and safe as I was tricked into believing. Had I known it had peroxide in it, I might not have gotten it since peroxide weakens hair. I prefer it over regular dye since that causes me a lot of scalp irritation. It is like a dye without so many harmful chemicals but it still has a bleaching chemical in it, so its not as natural as they said. I wanted to warn people that it does contain peroxide since I had no idea.

What is happening with with quality?
Usually, I am happy with the quality, but this past delivery was different and disappointing. The packages this time had expanded and leaked. The consistency was so runny that I couldn’t apply it, it just ran down my face and body. It was watery and not foamy as usual. I also noticed that the expiry label was missing, which I usually see on the packaging. I really hope the next delivery is better.

Non-irritating, non-toxic, DYI natural coloring for lt brown/dark brown/black hair
I love this product, have used for 6 years, and apply it myself. I am over 60 but my hair is healthy and glossy and natural (I have with red highlights) and I wear it long. I use a curling iron on it every day. I do not use any product on my hair other than the shampoos and conditioners sold by same company. The light brown works well for honey blond and covers my roots fine. I can split a box into two applications. My roots look a little light just after application, but more color absorbs or comes out overnight and I have a uniform look the next morning. Be sure to buy the cheleating shampoo to use a week before application. It take about 2 hours to apply from start to finish, including shampoooing, 3 separate applications, conditioner, and final rinse. I tape plastic around my mud sink to keep splatters off the walls.

Mixed Results — One Bottle Leaked, Some Gray Left Uncovered
I used Hairprint Plus this morning and dedicated about 5 hours to the whole process, including prep and cleanup. I followed the instructions closely and even extended each step by 20–30 minutes in hopes of improving the result. One issue I ran into was that one of the three Restore solutions had leaked before I opened it. Its consistency felt off—more watery than the other two—which I suspect affected the overall performance. Since I had already set aside the time and was ready to go, I decided to use it anyway rather than reschedule everything. The final result wasn’t perfect—some grays are still visible—but my hair looks darker overall and feels healthy. I’m not sure how long the color will last since I just did it today, but I’m cautiously optimistic. If all the components had been in good condition, I believe the coverage would have been better.

Rating: 2/5 stars this batch was very disappointing…
I have always used Hairprint and it has been a lifesaver for me. Unlike traditional hair dyes, it never caused allergic reactions and it covered my gray hair very well. Unfortunately, this time the product quality was very disappointing. The Restore Liquid was extremely watery, whereas in the past it had a gel-like consistency. When mixed with the powder, it used to create a thick mixture that was easy to apply to the hair. This time, however, the mixture was as thin as water and impossible to apply properly. It kept dripping and running everywhere, making the application process very frustrating. I am very disappointed because I have trusted and used this brand for years, but this batch seems to be of much lower quality than what I have experienced before.
