Only read/write nvme drive
The only one I have found that has a switch for read/write. Functions and performs as expected My device you can hear the coil whine it’s really low level and doesn’t bother me but may others. Poor installation design - wished they used a latch for the nvme instead of the finicky micro screw and washer.

Compatibel with intel 2020 mac!! Stable and fast.
I have tried three 40Gbps Thunderbolt SSD enclosures with my Intel iMac 27 (2020) and M1 MacBook. This one stands out compared to the other two. It is very stable, with no unexpected ejections, and is compatible with both M1 and Intel chips. The temperature control is excellent, not exceeding 46°C during continuous read and write operations, and idling at 30°C. Issues with the other two enclosures: They kept ejecting themselves from the Intel Mac but worked normally with the M1 MacBook Air. Additionally, their temperatures were too high, reaching over 60°C even with a fan. The cases did not touch the SSD thermal pads tightly, resulting in poor heat dissipation.

It works when it works
Does what it is supposed to. Have purchased two in the last 6 weeks. One returned as the fan started to sound like, well, a noisy, defective fan.

The enclosure is tightly closed and fan only try to cool copper part . Which is not very tested idea it seems. My SSD is burnt with all data. Without any refund on that . So rest is upto You . If this review even gone through .

Very fast and also runs cool ( 2 heat pipes and fan ), very good value for money.

Cooling Fan Failure
Ordered on 21 August 2025- Worked well initially then fan noise increased. Now the fan is faulty and as such my SSD is not getting properly cooled. I'm disappointed It's never moved and in a clean environment. Hopefully this can be resolved, I don't know how it's only six months since I bought it.

Built like a tank.
Solid build and speed is respectable with the 8 TB WD Black SN850x SSSD I put in it (2710.3 read & 2618.6 write). Runs cool as well. My only nit pick is that I can hear the fan. My room is pretty quiet and my M1 Max Mac Studio is absolutely silent - this is the only thing with a fan on my desk and I notice it. I may relocate it to my closet among with my thunder bay 8, but I'm wondering if it will still be cooler than my Acasis enclosures without the fan running... it seems to have a pretty robust passive cooling design.

Das kleine Vollaluminium-Kühlrippen-Heatpipe-Design Gehäuse hat einen extrem leisen 3cm Lüfter. Im Gegensatz zu anderen ist der Lüfter wirklich nicht hörbar. Im Beipack ist ein 30cm 3.2Gen2x2 (20Gbps) USB-C Kabel mit Kabelbinder, ein Wärmeleitpad, ein Schraubendreher, Schrauben-Befestigungsset für die SSD, ein Transportbeutel und sogar eine deutsche Bedienungsanleitung enthalten. Es werden alle USB-Schnittstellen kompatibel unterstützt: USB3.2Gen1 (5Gbps), 3.2Gen2(10Gbps), 3.2Gen2x2(20Gbps), Thunderbolt4 (natürlich nur 10Gbps und keine 40Gbps) Die Betriebstemperatur bei 20Gbps Datenlast ist sehr niedrig. Die verwendete Samsung 970Evo Plus SSD wird deshalb in der Leistung auch nicht begrenzt. Eine tolle Sicherheitseinrichtung ist auch enthalten. Mit einem Schalter am Gehäuse kann die Aufzeichnung gesperrt werden. Versehentliches Löschen und Virenübertagung werden somit ausgeschlossen. Für mich eine absolute Preis-Leistung Empfehlung in der NVME Gehäuse Spitzenklasse Details siehe Anhänge.
