Suitable for use over bituminous coatings, ages asphalt and primed steel. It is a superior alternative to chippings when applied in a two coat application. Reduces heat build-up and gives a reflective finish to bituminous coatings and primed steel. Can also be used for the refurbishment of aged steel roofs. All surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, dry and free from surface contaminants such as grease, rust and dirt. If necessary, remove any organic growth i.e. lichen, with a fungicidal wash such as Bond It MOULD STOP. If the surface is still dusty after cleaning, or covered with weathered bitumen, prime with BITUMEN PRIMER and allow to dry. STIR VERY THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE. Do not thin. Apply immediately and continue stirring periodically during use. Apply by brush or mohair roller When brushing, use soft bristle brushes applying the lightest of pressure. The product will appear bronze coloured in the tin, but will turn silver as it dries. Over recently applied bituminous surfaces allow the following minimum periods to elapse after the final coat has dried before applying ALUMINIUM SOLAR REFLECTIVE PAINT:- Hot applied coatings ‐ 24 hours. - Solvent based coatings ‐ 10 days. Bond-it EasiSeal Pro should not have any compatibility issues with polycarbonate. **Q: Can this paint be applied direct onto aluminium sheeting roof?** A: I have no technical knowledge but it can be used on steel so I think it would be ok on aluminium but I would check with a seller to be sure. **Q: Is it a hard finish when dry** A: I yes it is a hard finish you can walk on it when dry **Q: What is the coverage in sq metres per litre** A: Hi - It says on the tin the coverage is between 1 and 2 square metres per litre depending on how porous the surface is you are treating. In my case I needed to cover around 6 square metres so I chanced a 2.5 litre tin. The surface I was treating had already been treated around 10 years ago and I was able to give it 2 coats with some to spare applied with a brush. Hope this is helpful. TIP stir the paint until you are tired of stirring the stir some more as the aluminium sediment settles on the bottom also dont be alarmed when you paint it on and it appears brownish, it turns a silvery colour during drying.
