Pure Classic Mini Portable digital radio - DAB+ & FM - Bluetooth 5.3-15 hours battery life - 2 equaliser options - 2.4 inch colour display - Carrying strap - brown/walnut - Compact & lightweight

I've owned and used this radio for one year now, and thought it was worth writing a review as i've been pleased with it. I spent quite a while researching DAB radios, as I wanted something with a built-in battery, USB-C charging and small with decent sound. This has ticked all boxes. I also really like the design, size, weight and almost everything about it! I've also used it as a bluetooth speaker for catch-up radio and podcasts from my iphone. Easy to put it into bluetooth mode and my phone connects automatically as soon as it see's it's on. Very frictionless to use like this and sound quality great for speech. I'm not quite sure on the battery life. Sometimes i've been surprised it's flat, but not often. Perhaps i've left it on and forgot about it. The one annoyance is this.. once the screen has gone to sleep (a setting to save battery life, perhaps the default i'm not sure), it takes one button press to wake the thing up and another to do something. So when I want to switch it off, I have to first press to wake up the screen and then hold down the power button to turn off. That always seems like too much effort and continues to annoy. With this exception this little thing is pretty perfect. I hope it continues to give decent battery life as it ages.

So easy to tune in and the sound is excellent for such a small radio. Only small gripe you have press the on off button a long time to switch it off.Otherwise a quality radio

Great sound, easy to use, great reception and decent value for money. A convenient size, stable and light enough to be portable. The battery doesn’t last long enough for regular use. Unless I’ve misunderstood, there isn’t a decent display to just show time in a large font. But as I say great sound quality. After 6 months the aerial broke at the base - and I’m very careful with radios :-( Many months later and a replacement aerial is still not available - Rubbish!!! :-( I’ve now bought 2 Roberts Rambler radios - much more expensive, not as small but way better.

Sounds better than the Roberts Revival Petite, and way cheaper. The radio is very very well made and has quite a weight to it. The only thing missing is a head phone socket. Works well as a blue tooth speaker as well. Battery life meets the 15 hours specs. Looks much better in person than than the pictures. Its great in the garden, at low volumes you can only hear it with in a few feet so not bugging the neighbours, however turn it up and i can hear it at the end of the garden. lovely rich sound very pleased with it

Good sound. Battery life pretty good. Decent value for money

Beautifully made, and easy to use. Considering its size the sound quality is great. I use it in the bathroom, and as it’s rechargeable no problem with having to plug in to a socket when in use. It holds its charge for quite a long time, making it safe to use in the bathroom. Great value for the money. Had the big daddy Pure for over ten years. Now baby Pure has taken over. Would highly recommend it, and how portable it is.

Good quality, good sound for petite radio. Unfortunately fault on screen, returned for refund

RETURNED-I have purchased quite a few Pure products that are still in good working order. I have had a very light weight pure portable radio for years -perfect in all ways ,small, compact ,great reception ,good robust design until the on button got a bit intermittent. Decided to buy this one as a replacement but what a disappointment .-Cheap plastic casing ( not like any of my other purchases ) very heavy for portable, felt like you were holding a brick , so not good for rucksacks etc.Placed it in the same position as my other and the reception was so poor i had to switch off.

Great construction and functionality, a lot better than what the competition dares to charge the same amount of money for We bought it particularly for the lowest volume setting, which was a problem with Philips
