Q: is this product sulfate free?

i do not see sulphate listed in the ingredients but the company, Dermarest, lists a toll free number 1-800-344-7239

Q: Do the directions on this say you have to leave it on for awhile before rinsing out, or can you just wash and rinse?

You are supposed to leave it on a few minutes before rinsing. I have used it almost every day for a very long time - a couple of years- and I no longer do that. I just shampoo and rinse. No problems.
