I recently bought a 2-pack of balaclava winter hats with neck warmers. The inner piece is fixed, so you have to wear it as seen in the pictures, which I like as nothing slips down. It's perfect for winter weather and icy winds, keeping my head warm. It comes in a 2-pack, so you can wash one and wear the other. The material is nice and soft and washes well—just tie the toggles so that the string doesn't recede inside the hood.

This is an interesting take on a balaclava, looking more like an attached hood, but I do like these. They're made of a lovely soft micro-fleece type material, and feel quite comfortable to wear.Whilst is does look like a separate hood/face mask, you do need to realise that it is basically just a pullover balaclava so it's either on or off, you can't pull the hood down as you would with a regular hooded shirt for example, but that notwithstanding it's an interesting idea, and i quite like it.If you like the style (my other half said it reminds her of the character from Assassin's Creed) then it's a nice option and happy to recommend, with the above proviso about the hood part.
