Must go for it. I run Android Studio, XCode, Android Emulator and iPhone emulators in parallel with average 7-8 browsing tabs open that includes YouTube, Twitter, long threads on ChatGPT and Claude on Firefox. And, this beast has never ever lagged. It's 24GB RAM and M4 PRO Chip.

There’s nothing like the Mac mini m4 pro. For now it’s generations ahead of everything else out there. And even if the Mac mini 5 comes out, it won’t matter… this thing is designed to perform well for 5-6 years at the very least. Even without TB5 accessories, it’s super fast on Read/write for external devices - so much so that I’ve switched most of my internal data and apps to an NVMe hub and kept the main device lean despite having 24 gigs of ram and 512 gigs of space. I keep 100s of tabs and apps open and it doesn’t even flinch. AI renders perform like a dream. So does music and video editing. Almost every TB port at the back is connected to hubs that hold at least 4-5 devices connected to each hub, including 4 ssd and hard drives, cloud drives, external camera, speaker, mouse and keyboard and it hasn’t crashed once. I have shut down and restarted the machine a few times to keep it trim. Recently upgraded to Tahoe a few days ago with literally no change in performance. I’m a Mac user for many years now, and while I have had complaints with the intel chips, this one has none. Got it at an amazing discount in Feb this year. It’s just perfect. Go for it!

Don’t go with its size; it’s a very powerful machine. If you’re a pro who uses fancy software like Adobe After Effects, Blender, Cinema 4D, and other high-end 3D tools, then this model is perfect for you. But if you just want to do everyday stuff like editing 4K videos, multitasking, then the base model M4 Mac Mini is a great choice. It’s still a powerful machine, though!
