I purchased the aluminum tool, very strong & well built, but the tube release is plastic!! Only time will tell. Con: Not ideal for aluminum tubed products. Not ideal for adhesive materials. The grip surface embeds itself in the aluminum and it is extremely difficult to remove the tube. The built in cutter deformes the aluminum tube so that it leaks around the internal track and plunger. So if the adhesive (5200) dries the gun is toast.. Still gave it five stars.. It is still a nice tool for some use cases, but don't throw out your standard caulk gun...
