I've never been in a position to need either strobe or SOS, and having to cycle through them is an annoyance. Wish I could disable them in favor of a more easily accessed (and repeated) intensity selection. You MUST use the 3.7V Lithium Ion batteries for this light, and you will be VERY pleased with the light. As with all Chinese lights, the lumens are exaggerated. But next to my Surefire 600 lumen, ($150.00), it is not that far off. I would say around a solid 400 lumens, which is terrific brightness for the money. So, this is an amazing light for a package with TWO Lithium Batteries- AND a charger- for about $17.00! with shipping. GREAT value. Well built, all aluminum, only 11 days delivery from China.
