Prodyne Straw Dispenser, Clear

I bought this for easy access to straws for my 2 sons who are 4 and 2. It’s such a cute little addition to the kitchen, I actually get a lot of compliments on how cute it is. It’s well made, surviving the small incidents of falling when my kids accidentally knock it over. The size is great, fits standard straws, keeps them organized nicely. Definitely worth the money.

This is a fantastic way to have my straws easy to grab without exposing them to general kitchen crud. Keeping straws in an unenclosed cup was my solution before this, but that meant that the part of the srtaw that went in my mouth was exposed to debris in the air, splatters from the stove, and various cleaners in spray bottles. Yuck. This little holder is super cute, lightweight, and very sturdy. It's fallen off the counter a few times without a ding. It will only hold standard size drinking straws, so be aware of this. If you use longer straws for bigger cups, they just wont fit. This is not a problem for me, but it might be for some. A couple of tips. Do not overstuff the container. Even if you have to refill it every week instead of every other week, having space between the straws lets them fan out and lets you grab one easily without touching the others. Just keep your extras in the pantry. They don't take up much room. This is also great for reusable plastic straws (which is what I've switched to) and chopsticks. The chopsticks are a bit of a tight fit, but it works, and is a much nicer way to store them.

My kids love this straw holder! Only issue we have is that we cannot close it. Standard straws are too tall. But it is still cute and serves its purpose.

Great despenser

I bought this straw holder for my son. He is in the age where he wants to do most things by himself, exerting his independence. And I oblige him with some, letting him do things that I know he can do and decide on simple stuff like his clothes, provided it would be proper. Like putting on morning clothes if it’s morning, pj’s if at night and stuff. So the same thing with putting straws in his cup. He insist on doing that and instead of him climbing up and maybe fall down because I put the straws high up in the pantry, I got this and put them in the counter so he can do it himself. I washed it first and put them in the dishwasher. The acrylic is fine but the stainless steel seemed to discolor at the bottom but I cleaned those up, I guess I shouldn't have put those at the dishwasher and just washed it by hands but I was being lazy. It is nice and they look like glass. I have knocked it over and it still works fine with no cracks or anything.

I've always like to use straws but I wanted something to keep my straws in, that look nice. I've used the 100 box to keep my straws but it wasn't what I wanted. I just dealt with it and with me wanting to be more orgainzed. I went ahead and found some more products to help me with being more organized. This one had a lot of positive reviews and I made sure it fit the straws I have. I washed it, dried it and put my straws in, it looks really nice on the counter. Only complaint, would be to hold more than 100 straws but I can live with it. The straws that doesn't fit in the container are kept in the original packaging and inside of a storage bag.

We have been thinking about buying a straw dispenser for years. The problem with an open box is the straws get dust on them, they slide out onto the floor if the box is left on its side, etc. The Prodyne F-36 Straw Dispenser is just plain fun to use. I was dubious prior to purchasing it, but once we filled it up with straws and tried it, everyone in the family said "cool". You just pull up on the lid and the straws "fan-out" so you can easily just grab one at a time. Lower the lid and they go right back down, dust free and spill free. It looks very stylish on the counter and being acrylic, I don't have to worry if one of the kids knocks it over. Our family highly recommends this product to anyone in the market for a straw dispenser.
